Who are the real movers and shakers behind this cult?

Over the years - way back from the steemit days - it's often been posited that this is a social experiment, with various possibilities - including it being an intelligence agency backed operation - i.e A psi-op ....This possibility is supported (to some degree) by the founders, the business backgrounds, and familial ties.

Another idea put forward is that it's some political ideology driven escapade.
This hypothesis is backed up by the open 'leftist woke mob mentality' in the higher echelons of hive ( and the silence of those purporting to support free speech - while not actually doing a single thing to show it when free speech is under attack by authoritarian loving tyrants).

There are also some very close connections (of some big accounts on here), of a 'Soros-esque' quality, like NGO's run by globalists and promoters of smart appliances - and are even very close to 'EU think tanks' that have Hilary Clinton on them, acting as an advisor!

Some accounts here take on the language of the WEF and their communistic/technocratic verbiage.
(some linguistic lessons coming so that you can easily recognize it yourself. It' pretty pathetic, and very transparent).

Block chain technology has such a fantastic potential for freedom.

DPoS has no potential for the ambition of a freer world .
DPoS only serves for the tyrannical enslavement of 'the serfs' though psychological manipulations and exploitation, and concentrated wealth 'at the top'.

This is another aspect of the 'double edged sword'...because as a stakeholder - an account holder - you have a place to speak - no matter the censorious tactics that are used against you (downvoting, ad hominem attacks, blah ,blah).

The system of DPoS will not work for the platform that you wish to see.

I haven't thought too much into the alternatives, as my focus is not there right now . (I'm sure more tech savvy people than myself are working on it though, as I type).

DPoS is not a good system for free speech and open discourse.
