To improve the craft of writing, some authors recommend keeping a notebook or digital journal to jot down ideas when they come to you. They don't have to be good ideas, they can be bad ideas, but the key point is to write them down fast without worrying about spelling or grammar. A journal can also be used to write what you see around you to practice how to describe things. As you build a record of ideas, you'll have plenty of material to draw upon. Try to connect your ideas for even more creative output. Don't forget to enjoy the process of writing and improving your craft. Good luck!

thanks. i will try to keep a note app/book beside me at all times from now on :)
