Our mind is a phenomenal storyteller to the point that it shapes our belief system and ultimately forms our personality. Therefore raising our awareness and consciously monitoring our thoughts is crucial if we want to change things in our lives.

That's very wise. We can build castles in our mind in a matter of seconds and destroy them as well. By being conscious and aware of our thoughts there is lot of peace that can be gained.
