The countryside has become greener and looked very refreshing. Last week the heavy rain which lasted several hours in one night did manage to save so many desperate trees. I was glad to see the two tall trees at the back garden with small green leaves on their bare branches. The train arrived at the final destination ten minutes early. Summer daylight made the scenery along the river more visible though it was almost 7 pm. We arrived at the house which seemed to be crowded by amazing green leaves. I was so glad to be close to Mother Earth and forest trees again.
Orange cats were not around the house. It seemed they have developed a new routine of surveying the nearby fields after their dinner. My gardener tended to provide them with extra portion of cat food. So, orange cats have become over weighed once more. I had to get on with my routine unpacking and putting away my food supplies properly. These tasks would get done more speedily while my orange cats weren’t inside the house. But as soon as they heard noises upstairs they would be rushing to greet me. Then I would have to stop everything just to listen to my cats’ complaints. Kwan was always very expressive and very emotional in her meowing.
On the other hand, Joan would just say his greeting and sat down close to me so that I could give him a massage. Two cats would have ten minutes massage before they were satisfied and forgave me for leaving them with the gardener. I was very grateful for their adaptability and ability to survive on their own too. They are becoming more independent and yet they have become more communicative with me. Joan has started to say ‘hello’ to me whenever he came up to be around my chair. He even answered my question and commented on my statements in his own language.
Kwan became much more talkative when I was complaining that she was too fat and could never win any prize at cats competition. She told me she never wanted to be in any competition. She said comparison wasn’t healthy and it’s better to be herself. Kwan has a new routine of sitting on the stairs and looking at the gate. Joan would go for a nap under my bed for two hours before joining Kwan at the stairs. They would spend the night downstairs and around the garden. When they were younger, they would sleep in the sitting room till early in the morning.
My orange cats have grown so much and become more emotionally independent which was quite a relief to me. We are all getting old together and we became less energetic in our chasing games in the evening. With so many drastic changes in my country which might lead to unrest and civil war before the end of this year as foreign agents have been enacting their plans to placate the Chinese influence. We would eventually become mere pawns in this new ‘Reset game’ played by the power-that-be and take unavoidable consequences.
So, I have to focus on getting some concrete plans for survival so that I could look after my orange cats. Things are so dynamic and moving so fast that I feel under a lot of pressure including the race against time. I pray and hope that I would be guided by my guardians and kind angels during this phase of uncertainty and veiled threats in the near future.
Wishing you peace, good health and prosperity.
