Having the knowledge of something without understanding is nothing and having the knowledge and understanding of something without the application of it is also nothing.
The true meaning of wisdom is the application of knowledge.
You can be a man of knowledge by Reading and you can be a man of understanding by learning and asking question but you can only be a man of wisdom not by reading alone not by asking question alone but by applying what you know and understand.
The real meaning of wisdom is the application of what you know and understand.
I agree totally. SO back in school when we had those big-big books, I literally used to cram the answers and write them. I didn't understand a word (due to lack of interest ) but it was importnat that I knew it (as per the education system).
I don't remember a word now. All I remember now are things that I have earnt on the job or practically used in life. Like I understand mathematical concepts, human body but don't remember anythign around force and mass and chemicals becuase I didn't put them to use any day.
yes these three things work together, wisdom knowledge and understanding. and they can never be differentiated or separated.
but having knowledge alone is not enough to live, and also having understanding of what you know is not enough, but ultimately adding wisdom by applying what you know and understand is the greatest.
but you can never be wise or called a wise person without first acquiring knowledge and understanding.
and the Bible says wisdom is the principal thing so get wisdom and in all thy getting get understanding, so these two things are the most priority but for knowledge you acquire it day by day.
