yes you are right friend wisdom is a light to ignorance, wisdom makes you understand that you can't know everything so it gives you a sense that there are other things that you are here to know.

even on things that you know already a wise man will always listen more even on things in which they know. and why would you listen to what you've known all ready or learn what you have known, wise one listen to what they've known already and even learn more on it because they always think there might be other things they don't know about that thing.
