The "5 tristes Op.17", is the content of the first book of a larger collection, by the composer Julián Aguirre, called "Aires Nacionales Argentinos", published around 1930 by the publisher "G. Ricordi & C ” in Buenos Aires, Argentina .
Originally written for piano, in this arrangement I prepared a version for guitar and accordion. The choice of instrumentation was due to the high popularity of the bandoneon in Argentine music. Combined with the artistic possibilities that the free bass accordion provides.
Of the five pieces written in this first book, three of them pay tribute to Argentine cities, the first to Jujuy, and the number 4, and 5 to the city of Córdoba.
The creative process of this arrangement is based on a musicological study of the 1930 publication, bringing to the chamber music universe the main musical ideas of the composer, in the melodic, harmonic and in the rhythmic sense, in which both instruments make their artistic contribution to a greater dissemination of Aguirre works.
I loved maked this work and the tasting link is available below!
