I feel needful within me to share my thought on this very subject of concern, " RIGHT VS PRIVILEGE" most times we have been victims of this very uncommon issue of both public and private consideration.
i personally lived in it ignorantly for a very long time up until few months ago when i practically encountered a friend who helped in shifting, molding and practically adjusting my views and perspectives about life.

RIGHT
Moral and legal entitlement, it is statutory in the ideal sense because the law guarantees its provision but practically its not obtainable especially in our world today were everyone believes it should only be them in all aspect of life , you can see that in almost all ministry and institution, as it were and even what we can see today.
(UNDUE ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY)
Something an individual is owed.
Natural-life, liberty, privacy, happiness
Civil- property marriage, protection by law, trial by jury
Political-citizenship, to vote, hold public office
Now, So much of the issues we've had over time is a direct function of what i call the
undue entitlement mentality
individuals with this unguided mindset believes so much that every thing that they are entitled to must come weather sun or rain.
this to an extent has strangled out the ability to take responsibility, i want to quickly say here that every due entitlement has a corresponding responsibility that must be engage in order to access the entitlement.
(No responsibility No entitlement)
this is why people want to get paid for the work they have not done, its not their fault but the leader of the day because we have our values and priorities misplaced. we must be deliberate in taking responsibility if we truly need our entitlement.
PRIVILEGE
Access granted by an entity such as government or person such as parents to something the owns that can be granted to an individual not necessarily because you deserve it or worked for it but they choose to give it to you, many children believes that being trained by their parents is their due entitlement but it is a privilege
In the light of this understanding i want us to start approaching life generally as a privilege and not as a right, l know it has badly affected to a point we even believe that God owes us life and it necessities.
this is how bad it is but trust me if we can view everything around us as a privilege and not a right, our society will become the best place to be.
In your marriage, ministry, your financial carrier or what ever line of interest you engage, help, favor, increase does not come because its your right but because God or people decides to add value to your endeavors.
lastly I want to say that if we approach every opportunity that comes our way as a privilege, it will grant us access to more better opportunities,
the people in your life, at your office, even the once you meet on platforms or communities like this.
thank you for taking time to go through my thought, i take it to be a rare privilege and i will never take it for granted.
