Well said, Dear and you just said nothing but the truth and it was just like this post was made for me.
I have felt each and every one of this experiences you talked about here and to tell you the truth it was really delightful and phenomenal when having those pleasures but after a long while later it doesn't give those pleasures again and suddenly it feels like the pleasures that was just experienced was somehow sort of a waste of time and not worth it.
But we don't have a choice do we? I mean we must eat, we must drink alcohol and we must have sex because it would be so difficult staying away from these basic things.
it is not eating and drinking that is emphasized in this discussion. But our wish. We need food to survive, but we don't have to eat the food we want. For example, you are hungry and there is only rice and vegetables. Just eat what you have, don't want pizza or steak.
Hmmmm, that's going to be very hard for me and some other people because some people like to always have their way and eat what they not just want but what they like.
Remember that saying "you are what you eat?"
That be true you know.
How if you don't get what you want? I believe in what the Buddha said that life is suffering, and suffering comes from desire. That means, the greater the desire, the greater the suffering we get.
I get your point, suffering in life is normal and inevitable but when there is a chance to escape suffering then you have to maximise the opportunity.
When you have the abundance mentality, you will understand what I am magnifying to you.
Why settle for less when you can get better and get more?🤷🏻♂️
Think about it.
Bless up. 👏🏻🔥😎
Getting a lot is good, but wanting a lot is greedy. It's okay to get what we want naturally. Hope you know the difference
Yeah, I do and I see the point you are tryna make.
So in essence, we humans should not want a lot?
You should know it's deep in human nature to want a lot, greed is natural and almost inevitable.
Indeed, that is what I have to prevent. The greed that is inside of me I must destroy because it is the source of my suffering
