Hello it is a pleasure to greet you, my name is Irina Gonzalez Luque, I am a medic surgeon by profession.
When I was 5 years old my parents gave me a little story called my nurse and on the cover I could see a little girl dressed as a nurse curing her teddy bear, they read it to me before going to sleep.
My imagination could fly thinking that when I grew up I would become an excellent doctor, this passion grew with the passing of time until I was 16 years old when my great adventure began.
I applied for the career of Medicine, just out of high school and I passed the exam and got the place.
I can tell you that my life took a 180 degree turn when I moved to a student residence, 2 hours away from home.
Carrying in my suitcase the faith in the Creator, that I was taught since I was a child, values and principles also traveled with me were a fundamental pillar for this new stage that began, then 6 years passed.
I obtained the title of surgeon at 22 years of age, I did my rural training at 23 years of age in a small and beautiful town that is located 8 hours away from my hometown. After that I did 1 year of residency in internal medicine.
Then I applied for a postgraduate degree in internal medicine in one of the most important hospitals in my country Venezuela and for various political and economic reasons that my beloved country is going through. I had to seek new horizons in search of personal improvements as academically spoken.
I traveled to Peru where I am happily practicing my profession thanks to God, and in order not to make this presentation so long, I give you my word that in time I will write a letter telling you anecdotes about my history before practicing my career here in Peru. And I can tell you that it was not easy at all!
Without further ado, I bid you farewell, but not before sharing with you that I will be publishing in most of the times understandable and duplicable scientific medical information, and if any questions arise along the way, you can confidently ask your questions or queries that I will gladly answer.
