The Newbies Initiative has been a wonderful place so far. I've met quite the number of beautiful people and thank you to @starstrings01, @projectmamabg, @aliento, @eddiespino and all other sponsors of this amazing initiative. I wish there was a Post-Newbie Initiative too. Lol. Don't mind me.
After watching the video made available to us by our awesome instructors, I'm here to answer the questions in the simplest way.
WHICH DAPPS DO YOU USE AND WHY?
@starstrings01 mentioned various Dapps he uses but I use only a few, specifically PeakD, Leofinance.io/LeoMobile, Ecency and Proofofbrain.io. I haven't used 3Speak or Hive.blog yet.
PeakD is pretty easy to navigate and has the most simplest interface. I got introduced to Hive through PeakD and haven't been able to part with it. However, I have encouraged myself to be versatile and use more Dapps. Although with little allocated time, I still try. I still prefer the PeakD and Leofinance interface to the others.
Using PeakD, I can easily stake or unstake tokens through the Hive-Engine which is very accessible on here. Also, I'm able to filter, pick my favorite authors and set the interface to my preference. Awesome.
HOW DO YOU SEE HIVE NOW COMPARED TO WHEN IT WAS STILL STEEM? HOW MUCH HAS THE PLATFORM CHANGED AS A NEW USER?
I remember when I first onboarded Hive in September and got curious as to how it really came to be. I first thought it was owned by a Mining company who weren't pleased with the fact that Hive are using their name. But on further investigation and Interaction with a few old timers, I got to understand that Hive was forked from Steem.
Steem as they explained didn't have much to offer. The only people making profits were the big shots and the little cubs had to scrabble for scraps. I couldn't imagine myself in that position because believe me, I'd be discouraged at that amount of discouragement.
Newbies on Steem compared to Hive wandered about and only hung on the hope they'd make a lot of cash while others just got tired and left.
So yeah, compared to then, Hive is doing a lot better. I mean, I had someone put me through the workings of the platform. @dwixer said he experienced nothing like that. And now I'm trying to carry someone along.
The fact that communities and guides were made just to explain what Hive is to a new user shows how much transformation took place. Now, here on Hive, we take people along, reveling in their successes and not just ours.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING PEAKD?
• Easy Navigation
• Direct access to Hive-Engine
• Staking made easy
• Able to track Voting power/resource credits/HP
• Savings (you can save HBD or Hive and earn more)
• Track rewards payout and time.
•Ability to see the identity of your upvoters, downvoters and their upvote/downvote percentage.
I didn't understand the account creation token part. Maybe the Initiative could throw more light on it? I had no idea something like that existed.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING ECENCY?
• Proper statistics on wallet value. Especially on HP. Through Ecency, I understood that my HP wasn't really affected. I thought when the delegation gets taken my HP would drop but it wasn't so.
•Post Promotion. You can boost your post through Ecency points earned through engaging on the platform.
• Best Mobile App. I've used it only a few times but I love how easy it was. It was just like operating Facebook or something. Very beautiful app.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING HIVE.BLOG?
To be honest, I have never used that interface and I couldn't quite understand the points made by Starstrings01. I did get that it is most essential for Trading tokens and recovering keys. I'd like a lecture on how we can achieve such feat.
WHAT IS 3SPEAK?
3Speak simply put is the "youtube" of Hive. A dapp where you upload video contents and not be censored or told what you can or cannot do. It's also another interface if Hive. If you're a Vlogger looking for ways to put yourself out there and maximize profits, 3Speak is it for you.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF 3SPEAK? WHAT ARE THE KEY REQUIREMENTS?
3Speak:
• Maximizes profit
• Curates quality post
• Avenue for free expression
• Attention Span: most people prefer videos to blogs or articles. Attention Span is an important factor and 3Speak if put to good use can hoard you a whole sea of attention.
The key requirements are however, quality and engagement.
HOW MUCH VIDEOS MUST YOU MAKE TO GET NOTICED?
I do know that I may not make more than one video per day the moment I start making use of 3Speak. If I would get noticed on 3Speak, the quality of my content is what would speak for me. Also, engaging would also go a long way. Just like we engage here on PeakD or wherever, engaging on 3Speak rewards a lot.
WHAT IS THE BEST LENGTH OF THE VIDEO TO GET THE MAXIMUM OF THE VOTES?
Starstrings01 said the video must be more than a minute. I haven't explored 3Speak yet but maybe I may come across funny cat videos? Skits? Lol. I'd be stuck on there if I see those.
Also, not minding the length, quality is a must. Like I said previously, attention span is vital for the success of your post. Making a lengthy video with no quality content could be a disaster and making short videos with no quality content is also a waste of time. Whatever the time frame, be creative enough to capture your audience.
ARE VIDEOS MADE LIKE PRESENTATION AND HUMAN VOICE SUCCESSFUL?
Robot voice, girly voice or your normal voice, it doesn't matter. What matters is your content.
IS IT HARD TO BECOME A VLOGGER?
Hehehehe. I don't think so. Every single work or beginning requires great dedication, persistence, effort and hardwork.
Being a Vlogger is no different from blogging. The only difference is the videos. So if you want to be a Vlogger on Hive, make sure to do the following:
• Learn more
• Put effort
• Be creative
• Engage
• Exercise patience
• Be original
EVERYTHING SOUNDS GREAT. NOW, HOW TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT AND RUN IT?
There are a lot of ways to create an account. PeakD, Ecency, Hive.blog, Leofinance, Proofofbrain, you name them. Making an account is the first part, running it that's another:
• Introductory Post: Although not compulsory it is necessary as this would be the beginning of your next phase.
• Voting Power/Resource credits: You need these to run an account. It becomes frustrating for a newbie when they are unable to post, comment or upvote. This is why Delegation is encouraged and I say a big THANK YOU to @belemo who helped me with that and @starstrings01 who immediately reached out to help a newbie I onboarded, @ruthyann.
• Communities: Being a part of a community is essential for growth. They issue prompts, contests and the engagement/support a newbie actually needs to survive on Hive.
• Engagement: Read and upvote post. Make comments, ask questions. Don't be shy. Be committed, be dedicated and persistent.
• Plagiarism: For a long lasting and healthy reputation, Do not plagiarise. Which means, do not copy and paste. Source whatever text or photo you use. Make sure to use images from free websites such as Pexels, Unsplash and Pixabay.
• Join groups: Very important. Join discord groups or Telegram groups and make friends. Hive isn't all about profit. Connection is necessary.

I hope you enjoy Hive😀
Thank you for the guide @deraaa. I think we’ll be good friends moving on😊
And sorry about the late reply. I’m facing problems with my hive power and resource credits. I’ll see you probably in 2-3 days when my rc recharges. Lol
Huh? Did you join the Newbies Discord?
@starstrings01
Can you help?
No please. I read and attempted the newbies task questions but I think I might’ve made some mistake somewhere or I’m not qualified to participate. Maybe a tag or I need to apply to participate in the task first? I posted the task about 22hours ago. This is a link to it.👇
