WHY DO PEOPLE LIVE SUCH LIFE?
Here is a little story about a two life man.
Once upon a time, a man had two lives. His life in the office is different from his life at home. In the office, he is a nice guy and very good to the people around him. But at home, he is a tyrant and very wild in behavior.
The ladies in his office admired him and wished he had married one of them. On the other hand, his wife and children feel relieved anytime he goes to work, and they always wish he stays back in the office and never comes back.
One day he did not show up for work. After some hours in the office without him, his secretary decided to visit his home to find out if all was well.
On getting there, she was shocked to see the very good man of the office in a very dirty act not good enough to describe here. She was not sure if it was her boss in the office she was seeing. In disbelief, she watched the drama and returned to the office confused.
A lot of us obviously are like this man.
The life we portray within the week is different from the one we display on Sunday.
The life we show up while in church is different from the one we display during church meetings.
The life we show to our employers and the life we show when the firm is ours is completely different.
This was exactly what happened in the missionary team led by Jesus. Judas was having two lives. He painted a picture of a very responsible and dependable disciple, yet he was a thief. We can read the book of John 12:4 to understand better.
Inconsistency is the other name for hypocrisy. That was exactly what Jesus hated. The church, your family and friends must see you exactly the true way that you are.
So how many lives have you? On the Day of Judgment, which one will you present before God?
Unfortunately, a large percentage of the people in the society is like that man, maybe not in a very distinct way. The story of the man is that of hypocrisy. Many people are hypocrites - say something, but do the opposite. We say the government is bad, whereas, we are worse as bosses, fathers, mothers, siblings, and even as neighbours.
We frown at 'underage marriage' but cheer underage dating and call it freedom. Women can wear whatever they like until it comes to wearing the hijab - they are enslaved. Nudity is empowering on social media but people beat their daughters at home for posting raw images on social media. The hypocrisy is loud in a silent way. Found your post via @dreemport
Right on point... Thanks for this wonderful contribution... Most of us are hypocrites and 2 faced. We say one thing and end up doing another.. What more can I say after reading your contribution?.... We just need to work on ourselves.
Even God presents different faces in different situations. Each face is a part of us, and we put them on and change them so that other people will understand us better. When we understand ourselves, we don't drop our many faces, we simply learn how to use them better.
Different faces for different situations is normal, and necessary. The important thing is that each face be a true reflection of who you are, otherwise you're just lying to people.
Very interesting and lessons to learn. It's not good to be a two life man, let people know your true color .......
