Swami Vivekananda
One thing about ideas is that they never come in one piece. They flow like tiny atoms from nerve to nerve.
The world we live in today is one that's filled with countless ideas. However, ideas are to be executed one after the other. In the fast-speed rush hour lifestyle of today, most people want to invent everything possible. Build on every single idea that comes their way without taking the time to really build a successful one that the rest can build upon.
Focusing on just one idea that you know and are sure will work at the moment is better than going for one that won't be able to operate in the current world(might work in the future but just not now).
The invention of the gsm was the one that give birth to the innovation of the internet we have today. The Internet could not have existed earlier than the mobile phone.
These are how ideas work in our minds. Sometimes they are fully formed we try to execute every idea at our hand without relishing the one idea that can work at the present moment.
The idea of the internet would have been in some intelligent people's minds before the gsm but seeing that the gsm itself hasn't been made they'll have to leave the internet and build on the idea of building a gsm first before we can have something like the internet.
We can even be more aware of the task at hand when we focus on only one. The Bitcoin and alt-republic we have today wouldn't have been possible without having Bitcoin first. Ideas are like water that keeps flowing and wherever it flows right now is where we should immerse ourselves without trying to be all over the place or trying to stress ourselves with too many ideas that need time to become a reality.
We also have people who don't even follow up on any ideas that may be of potential to them in the future. This can be for a lot of reason which is mostly money or other health issues that may be.
Whichever the case it's more fulfilling to follow up on our ideas not because it may benefit us but to see how it will also benefit the world. This is what people like Satoshi were thinking and made the greatest financial invention we have today.
