Hello dear. This is my life 90% of the time. I'll be dying to just take a break and relax but I just can't afford it.

it's Raksha Bandhan which is a very popular festival in India to celebrate the relationship between siblings

How do you celebrate this day?

Ok so Raksha Bandhan is a very beautiful festival. Sisters visit their brothers and tie a rakhi (thread band) on their wrist to celebrate their bond. They exchange gifts to make each other happy.

The tradition basically says that the sister is strengthing the bond by tying the holy rakhi on the brother's wrist and in retun the brother promises to take care of their sisters in all situation of life and be with them forever.

It is absolutely a beautiful tradition, I would love to witness it at least once in my life. I wish we had something like that over here.

You can do it in your own way to celebrate the bond with your siblings.

As a tradition, it was only between brothers and sisters but now that we have less number of children so one might not have both boy and girl child. So people follow the tradition between 2 boys and 2 girsl too. It's all about love afterall.

Raag doesn't have any sister, not even a cousin sister. So I will ask my house help who looks after him the whole day to do this ceremony with him. Also, I will do it with my cat because we anyways teach Raag that the cat is his elder sister.

My sister also recently delivered a baby boy so I will do it between them too. I'm sure it will be too much fun
