Have you noticed that this period has provided opportunities for the ballooning of YouTube channels all over the world? Jamaica is of course is no exception. I'd like to highlight a few of the channels that are of interest to me and why I like them.
Meet The Mitchells
The Mitchell's channel has content about the lives of a popular Jamaican music family. The parents are Reggae/Dancehall artistes Wayne Marshall and his wife Tami. In their household are all boys Alex, Gio, Jaxen, Atlas, Oz and helper Momo. Grandparents and other family members also make regular appearances. I like this channel because it is positive, family oriented and real.
The Virgos
Singer, Romain Virgo, father of twin girls and his wife Liz are owners and operators of this channel. The channel also features aspects of their daily lives. They frequently refer to their supporters as Virgo Nation. I watch this one mainly to observe the playful relationship dynamics between Romain and Liz. In this video they talk about how they met.
The Social House
The participants in this channel are all Jamaican social media influencers who compete for points and prizes by completing different challenges. The episodes are sponsored by a number of local companies.Viewers are encouraged to participate and support their favorite influencers by voting for them.I watch this one because it is competitive and entertaining.
