The Rights of women and children

What is the status of women and children in today's society? Do they get the right place? Or are women and children marginalized in society after facing many injustices? So today I am going to talk about this in my article. It is about women's and children's rights. Women have the same rights as men. The government is bound to enforce the law even against the people who oppose women and childs. That is why there is a separate office like the Ministry of Women and Children.

In many countries, when it comes to women, strict laws are implemented against people who harass and persecute women. It is the same in our country. Compared to other countries in the Asian region, women in Sri Lankan society have the right to enjoy all basic human rights. That is, like men, a Sri Lankan woman has all the rights like the right to study, the right to speak, the right to do a job of her choice.

But the situation in some countries is very different in this regard. Women in those countries have a very low status. They are not even allowed to study and do a job of their choice. They are only allowed to do housework, get married and raise children. This is a sad situation. But in a society that treats women in such a way, women's day is talked about proudly.

Also The United Nations has a separate commission on women's rights. So this commission is considered as a leading women's organization for gender equality and women empowerment. Whether there are laws or not, a society should be created that respects women.

Children should be recognized in the society like women. If that is not the case, things like child labor will arise in the society.
