Yeah. You have to watch the prices on hive-engine closely. If you just put your hive into swap.btc at the current ask price, you're probably going to lose a lot. That's why I have a lot of LTC. It was traded the most favorable of the available swap.tokens, when I had Hive to invest.
They're sold for hive and the price of hives keeps changing all the time. And the trading volume is low. So you should always compare its' value with the actual value of the real coin.
The important thing is, that in the end you can always withdraw it in the form of actual coin instead of hive. So the intrinsic value only depends on the value of the actual coin.
