RE: What I learned and changes to come

in Proof of Brain4 years ago

I want to know who is saying that you are taking too much from the community.

This infuriates me. That’s YOUR money!!

Now I’m concerned about when I also decide to start actually paying myself.

I take time away from myself, my family, my life, to post here.

I pay for the internet, cell bill, Adobe, camera, TV, streaming services, electricity, cell phone and laptop, to use to post and aid in content creation.

I use my college education and the money and time that took, to post here.

I stay up late when my post needs editing.

I take photos of things to use later.

I spend MY time working on my content to get PAID for it. If I was not getting any rewards at this point, I would have bailed long time ago and/or been posting far less often, less quality content.

In my mind, every cent in my accounts IS MINE and if I want to remove it all right now, I shouldn’t ever be treated poorly. Nor should those who frequently vote for my content discontinue to do so; if new content is good that it should get the same attention.

Choosing to use your money, when and how you wish to shouldn’t not be frowned upon. Ridiculous!

I’m second guessing spending much more energy on Hive. I refuse to feel like an outcast for spending my money.

——-

I’m in a really tight place right not, and I kept thinking ‘if I have to convert my crypto, I have that. But do I? And if I do start using my crypto to supplement expenses, will I lose respect here and struggle to continue making money?

There’s too many unknowns.

I think it’s time I divert my energy to something more reliable. Once or twice a week posts might be my new Hive and POB behaviour.

Anyway, thank you for bringing this to light.

I believe the criticism came to me for the high gain I had with the community, and I understand your point of view and I agree. But I preferred to leave that to the past and focus on the future.

You're an amazing person and you're adding a lot to the community, don't give up on it, it's people like you I want to see here.

But stay comfortable, that's the most important thing. I believe you can still grow a lot here, and I'm not talking about values, but connections.

People like you I want to see around here, that's what I said at the beginning of the post, the real interaction, and that's what matters to me (money matters to everyone, even if some pretend they don't).

By the way how are things out there? Are you and your daughter better?

Do you have a link to these accusations? Were they made on the blockchain?

Good to see some changes, I guess? Very reactionary though which makes me wonder if there is some level of "am I really doing enough?" there. It seems like some reflecting was done and there was room for improvement, which is fair enough, we're all cruising along on this ride together, no one is perfect.

I will no longer ask friends for opinions about my attitudes, as I learned that this can sometimes backfire on me, but I will still be open to suggestions that are given to me.

You should reconsider your definition of friend. That's the issue there. You should alays be able to ask friends about their opinion without any worries, because they ultimately care for and want to see the best of you.
