Proof of Brain has been extremely quiet for a few weeks now. @proofofbrainio last post was ten days ago. Organizational measures were suggested by so many members of the community that it would be laborious for me now to look up the names and mark them all here; but still, i didn't see any response or declaration from @proofofbrainio for improvements or adoption of the suggested measures.
In the discord channel of the community, silence hangs. Nobody says anything at all. And this is very strange.
Where is proof of brain going?
On the other hand, consistent people continue to post and receive votes, fewer votes than usual, but there is still a certain amount of curation movement in the community. This, to me, proves the self-sufficiency we have, as although there is almost no leadership whatsoever, we continue to nurture the community with our content.
But I have to admit that this stillness bothers me, it's like at any moment something very unpredictable is going to happen; which can be very good for everyone, or it can be very bad too.
At least @calumam is back with Pob-wotw and I hope this really means there will be good productivity in the next few days, but I have my doubts; it seems to me less and less people are using the POB front end and more and more are using #pob hashtag on other fronts and benefiting from it. I'm not saying that this is right or wrong, but I'm saying that I lack direction, to know what the next steps of growth for the community will be.
I'm hoping that a lot of hard work is being done in secret and that in the next few days we will have a positive surprise about Proof of Brain's next steps in growth… I hope that's not a silly hope.
Meanwhile, I keep posting every day and doing my job with PAC.
What do you think about the future of Proof of Brain?
About twenty five years ago when I moved to Korea during IMF everything in the country was full service. No one would think of pumping their own gas. A lot of my neighbors had drivers and house staff. Now as the economy boomed everything became self service. People are willing to do it themselves. This is healthy for a society. Being waited on hand and foot is not healthy.
Do not in any way take from #proofofbrainio current inactivetivity that the community is slacking.
It fact the opposite it true, which can be detracted from all decentralized communities.
We each make of these communities what we will and the fact that this is a decentraluzed community that we can continue to grow, post in and have access to free speach in very impotant.
We gladly need no premission to post and continue to earn and that should be a contributing factor.
It is best to continue as normal and when #proofofbrainio has time to post that is his or her perogative.
It is time we focused more on the community and how we together make this a place that with which we can collaborate, comment, engage and continue to earn through engagement.
maybe @proofofbrainio needs a sub blogger to write for him/her?
That is a good idea, but I don't think it is needed.
Why should we focus on the founder so much, those that use FB for instance dont need to hear from mark weekly, it kind of detracts from the decentralized aspect of hive. LOL
A great analogy... Hopefully we can be self-sufficient and independent of any leadership. This would be very beneficial to the community as long as there was organization.
No Doubt, POB is a self sufficient community. We are seeing positive growths on the platform, people are more interested and hopeful for the tribe. We have awesome support from the rich list of POB as seen in last post of @interpretation. It's too early to come to any decision, right now is the time to be the leader and supporter of the community. We need more participation from @proofofbrainio. I'm sure his future prospects and vision will bring positivity to the community. Meanwhile we all have to do our best and have to put faith in the POB. Remember Rome was not built in a day. 😊🙏
Your vision is very optimistic, thanks for sharing!
Wow… I am Seeing more activity on POB than ever… and earning hundreds of POB a day from Curation. POB is the best Crypto project ever. Next to https://Blurtter.com
Totally agree, Needing or requiring approval through a post from #pob sounds ludicrious
Hahaha secret hardwork? I really do hope so. I've been making posts using the proofofbrain.io frontends and I plan to keep using it.
We just have to keep engaging in this great community and help in moving the community in the right direction.
I can understand how you feel about the community now but it will only get better soon enough.
Thanks for the pob wotw information, I'll try to participate in that as well.
I also want have an optimistic thought about the future of pob. But for now, I'm just watching and doing my job.
Yeah, please do continue and let's hope for the best
I have only been posting from the https://ProofofBrain.io Front end for the past month and earned over $1,000 USD.
I wish I would have never sold any POB now.
From @proofofbrainio's last contact with us (I'm talking like they are an alien visitor), they sounded like they want the community to make the appropriate moves. That means we need to be self sufficient. Proposals, votes etc... then we wait until the next contact and make sure the changes get executed. If that works, then we are on our own and in control. Which could be a good thing.
You wrote my mind. But i am sure that no secret hardwork is being executed. As I don’t think anything else is really more important than curation especially from the account holding maximum POB stake. Even 3-5% of his upvote would matter a lot. I don’t get how hard it is to run curation trails. Or Better divide and delegate at least half of the stake to those who are actually putting in efforts to curate and coming up with plans to streamline the management. Let someone else earn and encourage distribution instead. Besides reward distribution, not to mention the other concerns regarding transparency, onboarding, governance and leadership that need to be addressed. Activity is only going down. Its not just about increasing the number who use ‘proofofbrain’ tag. Its about building a network of loyal supporters who contribute not just the content but also in various other ways to sustain and grow the community. And also with more people, we will need better management and more moderators, more contests, engagement drives and active substantially staked account to nuke abusers. There is so so much to do, that we should be super busy with things here. Which doesn’t seem to be the case. Only a few relevant people are actually working, who also have a life and other things to do. If just 3-4 more active people become absent like our owner, POB will be a mess in no time. I hope that never happens.
Everyone joins here with such a passion and enthusiasm like I had. And eventually people realise that things are just being left stranded for weeks with no communication. Which is not at all good.
Maybe Proofofbrain is taking a break, some of these things can be overwhelming sometimes.
It is a good thing that proof of brain is proving to be a self sufficient community, that way growth of the platform can continue regardless and I hope it continues that way. It is natural to have doubts and it is important to keep hope.
Seems like many people have a short breath; it's completely normal for a community to go through this and could probably be very well described with a bell like curve where there is first excitement and euphoria then doubt and resignation. If the community stays strong during that low point we go up again :)
Sorry, but I have to disagree. Is it normal for a leader of a community to abandon the project? Without explaining anything, only disappear and appear when he wants?
Good questions! Your post
inspired a response post.
♫ Don't worry be happy. ♫
The POB is proofing and braining
all on its lonesome. Let the market
forces work. Your post inspired me
to buy 291 POB just to show how it do.
IMO, he totally abandoned it, and he doesn't even care. It burned the community's trust to defend a friend by the visa. But at least we're trying to get her back on track.
I made a fable in my last post on this subject.
This seems crazy. Abandoned the community for a friend? WTF. I hope that this situation keep doesn't harm us.
It wasn't for the friend itself, but because we didn't agree with his act. And like a good spoiled child, a rebellious teenager or a frustrated adult (I don't know which of the 3 he is), he chose to leave the community instead of reviewing attitudes.
Even the proposals that he himself brought he did not fulfill.
He said he would not delegate to anyone who owned more than 2500 PobPower. He lied. And he delegated.
He said he would delegate extra to users for the merit of engagement he brings to the community. He lied. PobTalk represents 10% of community engagement, and has had no support from it.
He is a liar who lets his ego get the better of the community. Don't expect anything from him.
And all accusations I make are backed up with blockchain data (I always put this warning so they don't happen again to call me an opportunist like a Brazilian user has already done)
You are not the only one with opinions like that about him; But, I personally don't can talk about anything beyond how much he seems uncared, cause this is the only direct experience that I have. And I think that he to uncared with the community is just bad enough... I imagine if your accusations are real.

Pretty sure it is, lol. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
I'm with you here. We're being taxed 10% for our posts for posting directly from the front-end and showing our commitment. Pretty frustrating (edit: the 10% tax actually applies no matter what front-end that is used). I've personally been setting @pob-fund as a 10% beneficiary for every post I write also, so that's a double whammy when there is very little communication and progress to motivate.
Let's see how the upcoming week goes and we can put forward some necessary proposals.
Also, the WOTW is there to lift some spirits and to provide an opportunity for learning. Consistency is needed ;)
I found out this story about the 10% @prooofbrainio receives, in a comment from someone who joked that there is less benefit to posting on the front end of pob than simply using the hashtag talking about anything on another front. This struck me as quite incoherent and obscene.
Depends how you look at it and who you are. If you are an author who benefits from regular upvotes from a large stakeholder who votes on posts that are just tagged, then you'll be laughing, but if not then you miss out on the curation done solely within the community tag.
It's still not right. I'll likely make a proposal for this in the coming weeks.
I'll give you my example: I don't have to complain about the amount of votes I have. Most of my posts get a fair vote... But I confess that I find it a little offensive when posts that are not made inside the pob front end get so many high votes. There should be a benefit limit for people who get votes for just using the tag.
