In Agriculture this is another form of Farming system which involves planting cover crops with the cereal crops. This method is also used by the old farmers who believe that when you use this kind of method your production will be more even when you try as much as possible to put all your efforts positively and I can also with my own practical experiment will say categorically that the method is good for mass production. This simply means that when you plant your crop in such a way that it's interchange so well then it will give a very good results slowly. I have practiced this with so many other crops and it was extremely good with the planting of maize with the cowpea, or you can plant your maize with soybean and I bet it with you you will never regret it.

But this method is always with a very good statics. This statistics will enable you to open your mind very white so that you will be able to accommodate crops one after the other. This method also brings about a very good nutrient formation this means that you will always prepare your mind that this method even when you are not on the farm there will be so many helping hands that will support you day by day. You can never cultivate this type of crop just yourself without any helping hands because when the weed starts to manifest it will be in multiple times what you are thinking. So you need to gather up funds to hire up labor. You can as well makes your chrome thoroughly so that you will not have any cause for alarm during the practice. When I visited this Farm I saw that it not just only one person's Farm it was a joint Farm settings. When I met one of the farmer working there and I intentionally asked a question is this just one person Farm? He Kindly replied me that they are four in numbers working hand in hand. So I took some pictures of the production as it was. The planted part of the farm makes with the cowpea whereas, I also saw Guinea corn with the cowpea in another Farm section but on the same plot of land.

At this stage of the cowpea it is close to the flowering stages which means that anytime from now you will see more of the flowers coming up naturalally.

You can see in the pictures that they interchange the planting formation which means that after the planted the cowpea in a particular roll, they also planted the guinea corn faintly on the same roll. Which means that the nutrient absorption rate will be different.

This is how the cowpea spread even when it is not as much as this. This also relates that before you jump into any conclusion of going into any type of crop planting you need to be aware how spread it can be within a short period of time. The Guinea corn standing in between.

In another section of the same Farm, the planted the guinea corn alone on different rows and column. Leaving the cowpea planting alone. You can also divide your farm such that the type of crop you cultivate in a mix cropping system will be different from the other ones again. It will give you a very good insight on how to go about a planting and weeding when the time comes. You will also be able to keep your records differently if time permit.

They also have different type of weeds which I also captured. This weed is extremely different from the ones you see around us here in the western region. I captured the pictures around the midnorthern part of Nigeria.

There are more people with different plantings strategies so it depends on you if you want to go with one particular pattern of planting or you choose wisely.
