I observe something about disposing of trash in Africa; it seems like we Africans don't care about how and where we keep our trash. In Nigeria, we have different points where a huge bucket the size of a heavy-duty truck is kept to dispose of trash at night. Many times, when people go to dispose of their trash at night, they come into a dark and lonely street, throw their trash in the middle of the street, and walk away when nobody is watching. That is why many streets in Nigeria are in a mess by morning.
Another funny thing people do around here when it comes to disposing of trash is whenever it’s raining. People will bring out all the trash in their homes and dump it in the gutters and on a flooded street. This is the reason why Nigeria looks like trash to many people, just because of the lawlessness of a few who don't care about the environmental damage their actions are causing to the planet.
Despite the measures the government has put in place to penalize these individuals, people still selfishly break the law by devising another means of breaking the rules without being noticed. I hope one day everyone will know the importance of keeping the planet safe.
