Hello everyone.

Another round of the clean planet biweekly contest have come to an end. this is the third round.

There were many interesting entries to read. The community was flowing with many interesting posts as Authors from the inleo frontend wrote to their heart content. We appreciate each and every one that participated in the prompt.

FIRST PLACE

One day, I thought of the effects of this littering of our environment and boldly approached our community chairman. I had a discussion with him, and he saw reasons with me and the had to make the community members aware of their actions. So the chairman called for a community urgent meeting, and in the meeting, the issue of community cleaning services was raised. Surprisingly, a lot of people welcomed the idea, and thus, there was a massive turnout on the cleaning day.

I was so touched after hearing what this woman said and I see that my contribution really worth it, it brings joy to my eyes when I see how happy that woman look and I can't stop remembering those moments. That was my first volunteer community service and it really worth it and whenever we are talking among my friend, I always advice them to make sure they contribute to the cleaning of our environment, it's not for those that dirty it, it's for ourselves and those that will benefit from it and make them happy.

THIRD PLACE

When was around seven years old, i noticed that their is this environmental cleaning practice in my community. It took place one's in a month. During this time, all the married women in my community will come out in a group to carry out this exercise. In our local dialect we call it Ibo uzo which when translated means, cleaning of the roads. My late mom back then is always involved in this exercise. As we are coming up in age, Mom stopped going out by herself. Rather she will send one of us for the cleaning. On a very good day, it became my turn to do that and went out to carry out this exercise on behalf of my mother. Though i didn't enjoy it the first day, rather saw it as a stress. As time goes on, i started enjoying it.
