October 19th, 2024 : A Day Off (But Not Really)

in CLEAN PLANET2 days ago

It's been a while since I did what I love doing—cleaning. School and life have been happening lately. School especially has me in a chokehold; I barely have time for myself and other activities. Web development is no course for the weak.

Today was a free day, but not really free. Free because I didn’t have to go to school or anywhere else, but not free because I had chores to take care of and assignments to complete, which are due on Monday.

I started by doing some laundry for myself and Mom. Afterwards, I felt really sick—I was burning up and feeling cold at the same time. I couldn’t continue with the other chores because I had to take care of myself first.

I managed to eat lunch and take some medicine. I didn’t get the relief I hoped for after taking it, but I did feel a little better. I needed some rest, so I lay on the bed, but I couldn’t sleep—I was just restless. Eventually, I decided to take a stroll through the streets.

I went out with my trash bag, knowing fully well I’d see litter lying around. I wasn’t disappointed. I found some litter in the corners of the streets, which I picked up and put in my bag. I also ran into some friends and neighbors, chatted with them for a bit, and then moved to the next street to continue looking around.
After picking up some litter, I sat on a pavement, waiting for the trash disposal team to arrive with their truck so I could get rid of the trash I’d collected. I waited because it was almost time for them to start collecting. After about 30 minutes, they still hadn’t shown up, so I headed home to dispose of it in my trash bins.

Anyway, I felt better after the stroll, and below are some pictures I took.
