Somehow, in search of new emotions, I found the Lviv Oceanarium.
Great fun for the whole family, I thought.
So me, my 3 year old and my boyfriend went there.
It is not difficult to find it and get there; it is located in the center not far from transport stops.
At the entrance we were greeted by an installation that makes a lot of bubbles that flew around the street and attracted children
We bought tickets inside (about 300 UAH per person, the baby is free) and we were warned to hide all the food and not give the child water and food in the hall.
Three floors of aquariums of different sizes and different types of fish, and marine predators, a tunnel room with small sharks (they were really small the size of a catfish, I expected something more from the word "shark")
And also the walls and ceiling were decorated with computer projections, in the form of fish and water, so that the feeling of immersion in this whole atmosphere was created as much as possible.
And yes, an important pleasant moment is played by very meditative calm music, so if you get on a day when there are few people, you can immerse yourself in another reality and relax
It was also interesting for the child, he stood for several minutes near the aquariums and watched, he especially liked the aquarium with stingrays, and I also “flyed” very gracefully in the water and they also have funny faces.
There was also an exhibition of all kinds of shells.
After the visit, I had very pleasant emotions, but with the makings of a real investigative journalist, I began to search for information on the Internet and found it.
That the aquarium is illegal, and in general, no commercial aquarium can be legal. Google the oceanarium on Wikipedia and you will find that this is a place for researching species for scientific purposes.
And also a photo from the opening of this oceanarium where eco-activists gathered with requests to close the aquarium, arguing that in captivity there cannot be such good conditions for fish as in their usual habitat, this will lead to a decrease in their life span, they will have diseases stress and high mortality.

At the same time, another part of the people convinced of the benefits of this place, as you can learn more about fish and show them to children.
It is up to you to decide whether it is worth visiting such places and whose side you will take, I wanted to tell and share what I learned.
We must remember that we are responsible for everything that happens to our Earth.
Good report. I used to visit zoos and aquariums. About 14 years ago, I even went to Loropark in Tenerife and saw the orca show.
I felt so sorry for the animals during the show that I couldn't calm down for weeks. I myself contributed to the fact that money still flows into the coffers for something like that. Fortunately, this orca show no longer exists.
I haven't been visiting zoos for ages either. Even if it is said that money goes into animal protection, it is not justifiable to lock them up in cramped cages and aquariums.
I am a diver and see these animals in the wild. Without stress and where they live.
And I have got into the habit of looking more closely at the nature around me. There are so many, even in big cities, that are worth taking a closer look at.
But I can well understand that children find this world fascinating and want to see it. They should know what we need to protect.
