Growing up, my parent trained I and my siblings to conceive gambling as an extremely evil act. It was a no no for them, and I completely understand them. I might have grown up to understand differently, but their training was really of great impact. I probably would have ended up a chronic gambler given the environment I find myself if not for their training.
I do not consider gambling a good thing neither do I totally condemn it. That notwithstanding, the major problem with gambling is based on becoming addicted. As a matter of fact, gambling is capable of completely ruining the life of an addicted individual. I do not know if it is same with every other part of the world, but there are so many addicted gamblers in this part of the world and I owe my parents for not becoming one of them.
GAMBLING IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD
Come to think of it, eighty percent of my friend are gamblers. Fifty percent are occasional gamblers while the remaining thirty are regular some of which are already addicted. From the look of things, gambling is already a lifestyle in this part of the world. I might be wrong with analysis but it is most likely the case that four out of every five young male in this part of the world have at least gambled before before.
Football is that one thing that is loved by majority in this part of the world and that explains why most bettors engage in football betting. I love football myself, I have as a matter of fact being lured in football betting on few occasion. Given the outcome of my few attempts, it was obvious that betting is not my thing. To the best of my knowledge, I may never try it again.
Notwithstanding the harmful effects of gambling, their are few individual around my neighborhood whom gambling have changed their lives positively. Drawing inspiration from the success of these lucky few, some young people end laying waste their entire lives in football betting houses.
WHAT I THINK ABOUT GAMBLING
At that point where you can go to the extent of betting with a fund that was meant for another venture, then know it that you have got a problem. If it then be the case the case that you can bet with your last fund or even borrow so as to bet, then know it that you are in a serious trouble. You need certainly need help.
My background might have influence my judgment on this matter but I do not consider gambling a good thing. That do not mean that I dislike those who gamble, but I cannot keep friends with chronic gamblers. The fact that their are those who have made huge amount of money from gambling will never make gambling good. My position is straight and simple; as much as possible do not gamble, but if you must, do it with your spear money if you have any. Gambling is a risk and it must be undertaken by only those who have the capability to bear the consequences of their actions.
