Our very first hike in Jasper National Park, Alberta, was the “Valley of Five Lakes”. So many photos ops including: Flowers, Mushrooms, Winding trails, Mountain vistas, and Brown coloured water! As mentioned previously, we only made it to the “First Lake”. Nonetheless, there was still plenty of great views along the way. I need to enlist the help of @dswigle to share with us the name of the Orange flower (is it a Prairie Lily, even though it is not from the prairies?). Now we came across this strange pond, which was brown in colour. Very unusual actually. I do not remember ever coming across a “brown-coloured” body of water before.

Love the photos, love the lily's.
That mountain looks like it's in the way of the walkin' trail ? Not Happy.
Just jump over it!
The walking path looks just like what is in Ghana here. Thanks for this, sir.
So beautiful.
The flowers you showed and the natural scenery were very beautiful.
Thanks
Hi, Dave! @daveks I would have called it a Wild Tiger Lily but, looked up Prairie Lily and they are the same thing. :) So, yes! Even though you are nowhere near the prairie, that is correct! :)
I have been absent as I am at a wild pony round-up, with no cell phone coverage, but, we are like rats here, all hovering close to a wifi hot spot. First World problems.
I am really liking the path and the black and white view of the mountain! Another day and I'll be home! Keep sending me those flowers!
I was looking at some of the pictures you posted from the wild pony roundup, and great job on those!
Thanks for telling us what flower that was.
I wonder if it had recently rained heavily. I have seen some streams get "muddied" colored like that when dry conditions meet a heavy downpour and the runoff turns the water brownish for a while.
In this instance, I don’t think that was the case. It was peculiar to be sure.
