The Future is Here
Future Proof Org is a "boots on the ground" community organization that provides resources, support, and opportunities for brands looking to integrate Web3 tech into their business. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the proliferation of Web3 in fintech and the world is starting to pay attention. Now is the time to get ahead of the curve and stamp your flag in this space.
Gone are the days where valuable financial services were only accessible to the privileged few. With blockchain, the whole world is open for business and the opportunities to build products and services are endless. This is the future of fintech, and it’s only going to get better from here.
Lets start with a simple understanding of what Web3 truly is for the newcomers. Web3 is a term used to describe the third iteration of the internet. The first iteration was our introduction to the World Wide Web, the second iteration was the era of apps. Today, we’ve arrived at the third iteration, Web3.
True Web3 runs on peer-to-peer, or decentralized networks — where value, data, and services can be exchanged without a central authority. Ideally, the only thing in between two parties in a transaction is code. This provides direct ownership of your assets and data. There are centralized solutions out there that utilize blockchain too. But be aware that the more decentralized a project is, the better it is positioned to give back value and more importantly fend off regulation.
Future Proof is here to show you how to leverage these networks by plugging yourself into multiple proven blockchain ecosystems, giving you ultimate control over your digital assets, content, following, and brand identity. This is where the HIVE blockchain shines bright! Even though our community will be utilizing other chains, HIVE is the only one that can check all those boxes under one roof. With that in mind, we'll be building our Web3 foundation on top of HIVE.
This allows us to create an immutable content hub where we can incentivize engagement, promote transparency, share, educate, and collaborate. Plus, all content produced on HIVE can be easily plugged into any external site, making it easy to repurpose our content.
Right now the team consists of only four members:
- @thesteamrev (non-profit organization) / @spearhead1976 - Steam Revolution founder TheHFactor. Cory has been an advisor for multiple token launches, blockchain events, and is a part of the Georgia Blockchain Association. He is very active in the space, but I'll let him give you the specs in his intro.
- @niaumoja - Nia is a wellness engineer, whether that be for your health, or your business. On top of being a Jill of all trades, she'll definitely bring some more creative flare to HIVE with her ventures.
- @bridgek - My man Bridge is just that, a bridge. Our collective has been introduced to so many opportunities just from his willingness to create relationships with anyone, regardless of their stature. Real firestarter! We're also cooking up some big things in the gaming space.
- Since I'm (@opinizeunltd) the most familiar with the HIVE community/ecosystem, I'll be leading the charge when it comes to formatting content and making onboarding new community members as user-friendly as possible, as well as highlighting some expectations when posting on HIVE. Also, my experience interacting with NFTs, web identities, and DeFi across multiple blockchains will enhance our processes.
We'll collectively manage the community until there are enough (non-fungible) token holders to begin implementing governance, ideally by the start of QT1, 2023. There is a lot of building to be done before you even have something to govern.
The roadmap isn't complete in its entirety but here are the plans for the rest of 2022:

Core Principles
The community will vote to ratify the current Future Proof Org Core Principles when token governance goes live. These core principles will be the guiding force for the organization's decision making processes. The current Core Principles agreed on by the founding members are listed below:
- Further the advancement of Web 3.0 technology as a tool for creatives, small businesses, and families
- Educating the public and the youth on the utility of blockchain, and how to take advantage of its capabilities now
- Ensure all Future Proof Org community token holders have a voice in decision making
- Provide a public, transparent, immutable history of community holdings and transactions
- Combine microfinance principles with blockchain capabilities to greater serve the underpriviledged and uninformed
- Emphasize the tech, not the USD value
Integration
Even though HIVE will be our home base, the community will be integrating other blockchains, sidechains, and layer 2s into our own ecosystem. With that in mind, the Future Proof Org community onboarding process calls for members to familiarize themselves with these other chains. Some we will be highlighting are:
Bitcoin (BTC) - Bitcoin is the economic anchor of the crypto industry. To not lead with it when bringing people into this space is a disservice IMO. Yea he doesn't have a bunch of fancy dance moves, but neither does Gold, the oldest money. Being the oldest crypto money is good enough for me.
Ethereum (ETH) - Ethereum is the clear leader when it comes to DeFi liquidity & development and NFTs. Any ecosystem building in the Web3 space should incorporate it. Whether its securing Web3 domains, advanced self-banking, or capturing stake in this "global supercomputer", you want in.
Polygon (MATIC) - A top sidechain on ethereum; tons of development & volume, integration with numerous reputable Ethereum dapps.
Binance Smart Chain (BNB) - A top sidechain on ethereum...you get the idea.
SPK Network (SPK) - We will encourage all video content creators and their supporters to become a part of the SPK Network by running a node or delegating to one. We agree with the @spknetwork community that incentivized, distributed video storage will be vital to a decentralized future. View and vote for their funding proposal here.
GUAP (GUAP) - resilient, battle-tested chain; low barrier to entry node
GUAP is for everyone, even though the initial focus was to promote financial inclusion and diversity using digital assets within communities of color (because it was needed). With the overall adoption of blockchain and the distribution of GUAP that has taken place over the past 4+ years, its time to highlight GUAP as utility for overall crypto adoption.LeoFinance (LEO) - LEO is a thriving HIVE layer 2 focused on finance content, especially blockchain related. Since we'll be onboarding a lot of businesses locally, LeoFinance will serve as a great resource for those entrepreneurs to get alpha crypto content.
Stacks (STX) - 1st versatile Bitcoin layer 2 (I think its more a sidechain but I may be wrong); official home of "CityCoins" project (there is already a Miami, Austin and NYC coin) that is being backed by pro-crypto city officials; .btc addresses; lots of development
The Graph (GRT) - What good is owning your data if you can't analyze it? The Graph is the leader in blockchain data analytics.
Bitcoin Lightning - A Bitcoin layer 2 solution that bypasses the primary network to speed up transactions while lowering fees.
Tron (TRX) - I kid, I kid 😆
We came to the conclusion that using these blockchains in particular, combined with the versatility of HIVE can create an informed, autonomous, immutable community that is well versed and firmly rooted on chain. Exchanging value in a liquid environment will be seamless with this type of network in tact.
Boots on the Ground
While most of the interactions in this space tend to be online, we know that we can have a greater impact by building locally by actually touching the people. The effectiveness of this approach will vary based on location, but fortunately our team is stationed in Atlanta, Ga. If you're unaware, Atlanta is currently a hot-bed for tech, blockchain and entertainment. Even though this is the 1st Future Proof Org post, we have already been actively onboarding through the Future Proof account and at @uniteawellness, one of our hubs here in Atlanta.
NFTs
The purpose of the Gen1 NFT is to overload early supporters with value and resources to jump start their individual Web3 journeys and ignite the Future Proof community as a whole. Entrepreneurs new to blockchain need a courier to navigate them through the waters and cater to their individual needs. With that said, these NFTs will be limited in quantity so token holders get service catered to those specific needs. Of course, no promises outside of the resources, but who knows what perks could be included. Much gratitude to @doze for being the 1st to make the concept come to life digitally with this draft! Current community members will vote on the artwork after we gather a few more submissions.
Community Tokens for Early Adopters
Early adopters of the community will receive airdrops based on their engagement. A point system running in the backgroung of the community front end will track this automatically. You engage the community by posting, commenting, delegating and upvoting. Activity in the Discord will also be acknowledged. BOLO for the front end announcement!
If you haven't heard, Georgia could become a blockchain hub for the US, and we believe Future Proof Org can have its own role in telling that story.
