Hola a todo el mundo, ayer empezaron las fiestas de Hogueras 2023 en la ciudad de Alicante (España) que se extenderán hasta el próximo domingo día 25 de junio. El primer día de fiesta empieza con la “plantà” que viene a ser como un “unboxing”. Ese día se descargan y desempaquetan todas las piezas que después se ensamblan para crear la obra final. Estas obras estarán expuestas en las calles de la ciudad hasta el día 25, día de la cremà, cuando serán presas del fuego.

El día de la “plantà” es un día de mucho trabajo para los maestros y artesanos de las hogueras, hay que terminar el trabajo antes de que el jurado pase a evaluar la calidad de la obra. Todo tiene que quedar perfecto.

Estas fiestas se viven y disfrutan en la calle. Tanto es así que ayer vi la tanda de penalties de la selección española contra Croacia gracias a la televisión que habían puesto en la calle estas personas. Ni me acordaba de que había fútbol.

Hello everybody, yesterday started the Hogueras 2023 festivities in the city of Alicante (Spain) that will last until next Sunday June 25th. The first day of the festival begins with the "plantà" which is like an "unboxing". That day all the pieces are unloaded and unpacked and then assembled to create the final work. These works will be on display in the streets of the city until the 25th, the day of the cremà, when they will fall prey to the fire.

The day of the "plantà" is a day of hard work for the masters and artisans of the bonfires, they have to finish the work before the jury comes to evaluate the quality of the work. Everything has to be perfect.

These celebrations are lived and enjoyed in the street. So much so that yesterday I saw the penalty shootout of the Spanish national team against Croatia thanks to the TV that these people had put in the street. I didn't even remember that there was soccer.
