Hello everyone! Recently I went to the Sunway Putra Mall to catch a movie and I noticed that they have put up some beautiful Christmas decorations. I got there quite early and had plenty of time to kill so I made use of it by exploring every floor and taking pictures of all the festival sparkles.
This the entrance to the mall on the ground floor. This is convenient for those who walk in or park their car in the ground floor itself. However most people enter the mall via other floors after parking through the elevator.
This is the right side of the entrance. It is the Toptoy store. As you can see the ground is full of poinsettia plants which are associated with Christmas and large ornaments.
This is the left side of the entrance. It is the Nadeja shop which is famously known for selling handmade mille crepes. The decorations are pretty much the same as the other side.
This is decoration around the centre of the mall. It also has the notice of the Christmas Colouroma event.
I found this really interesting goat displayed. At first I thought it is the Christmas goat but when I got closer and read the caption I realized I was wrong.
Here's a different angle of the goat. It looked magnificent in real and stood tall, looking so majestic. This amazing art is the work of an artist called Infantino Fernandez from Mumbai, India. He has done many other commissioned work for large hotel chains in Malaysia as well as other countries such as China, Australia, Japan, Kuwait, India, Sri Lanka and Dubai. This particular art of 'Yang' or 'Goat' is an auspicious animal in the Chinese culture.
As you can see there were shiny stars hung up on every floor that gives it an overall sparkly magical vibe.
Here's a closer look of a Christmas tree. This is the bazaar area where many things such as books, keychains and clothes were being sold at a discounted price. Things related to children like stationery items and toys were also here.
This is the main Christmas decoration. They made it like a little tunnel so people can go and stand there to take pictures.
Check out the beautiful, magical Christmas reindeer. It looked like it was made of crystal because it was so sparkly. I wish there's a mini version that I can buy. A keychain perhaps, with a little light. There were lots of flowers everywhere that added a pop of colour, or should I say an explosion of colour. They make pictures appear vibrant.
This is the sleigh that was behind the reindeer and was supposedly being 'pulled' ahead. I guess we can stand next to it and take pictures but not sit on it. I don't think it can bear the weight of an adult. However children will be able to sit.
There were many Christmas trees placed and fully decorated with ornaments all around the area.
The pictures above may seem similar but each of them are different. I really wanted a side angle of the reindeer so I got one with it appearing on the side of the frame. The next one couldn't fit the reindeer but could fit another Christmas tree on the left. Meanwhile, the last one has everything in one frame but the downside seems that everything is too far and lack clarity.
Greetings from me 🤩 I wore red to match the festive theme.
This is the view from the first floor. I got a closer look at all the decorations including a hanging star. It was shiny and had a hologram tone. The star of the ground floor tree-like decoration was better visible here. This mall is usually quite empty but today there were more people because a famous movie called Pushpa was released. My family and I were also there to watch it. It was the first show actually and we went early to check the Christmas decorations.
I guess this the first time we explored the mall properly. This section had a red theme mostly and now many lights with stars were hung all along the sides. I'm not sure how the little white dots or lights are appearing all the floors. It could be the reflection of other lights or it's just the entire ingrained pattern.
This is the poster of the Colourama event in conjunction of Christmas. It goes on until the 29th of December 2024. There are various activities that will be a part of this event. They are Colourama bazaar, workshops, performances, parades and best dressed competition. I got to only see the bazaar. There were many books, outfits and Christmas related items such as gift sets and ornaments being sold. I didn't take pictures of it because there were many people checking the area including children.
This is the elavator lobby area. I just took this picture because I thought it looked so cool with the elegant red theme.
I went to the second floor to check some shops as there were some crafting stores. While walking there I stopped at this random shop with many poinsettia plants and vintage style festival decorations. Regular household items and decorations were available here.
I hope that my pictures brightened up your day. Thank you for dropping by and I wish everyone an advanced Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays 🎉
