It's the same in real life too. People just look at what they can benefit from one another and move the other way when they think the friendship doesn't profit them. While that is a good thing, it takes away genuine relationships where you just love people for who they are.

Shouldn't have to be this way actually monetary value isn't the only value we should attach to people. Basically there are Incentives to loving people, but it goes beyond materialism because it should be a marathon, not a race.
