Hello everyone š
This year was a little bit different from the other years as I woke up on Motherās Day to flooding text messages from family and friends who wished me a happy Motherās Day, knowing it was my first. It felt weird yet kind of special which I was grateful for. I turned to our son who was still sound asleep and I felt blessed to have him and appreciate even more the power and love any mother has for their child/children and for all the things they do and go through.
Hubby bought a bouquet of flowers on behalf of our sons - baby and Furbaby Taro. I also picked out a robe for myself the other day as the weather is getting cold and itād be great to have when Iām awake at night attending to the baby.
I came out of the bedroom to my two siblings prepping and cooking brunch in the kitchen. They let themselves in the house while we were still asleep. The rest of the family came over for brunch as well. Itās been a family tradition that on Motherās Day we would make our mum breakfast and then take grandma out for a good meal. This year was a little different as we have a newborn and due to covid, we decided to stay indoors to celebrate.
We had bacon, Frankfurt sausages, eggs, spinach, tomatoes, hash browns, mushrooms with toast. It was a big breakfast and such a feast first thing in the morning.
It was a great morning spent with the family. We spent part of the afternoon relaxing and having a nap before going out for a little walk. A simple but relaxing day.
How did you spend Motherās Day?
Congrats!! Missed your post from two months ago when you announced the news.
