Hola mi hermosa comunidad de Hive, quiero comentarles sobre una hermosa ciudad que conocí. Quedé fascinada con este lugar.

Hello my beautiful Hive community, I want to tell you about a beautiful city that I met. I was fascinated with this place.

La Victoria - The Victory

Es una ciudad del Estado Aragua aquí en mi país Venezuela. Esta situada junto a la Autopista Regional del Centro, que une Caracas con Valencia y en una encrucijada de carreteras hacia la Colonia Tovar y a los llanos centrales. Su clima es fresco en comparación al llano de donde soy.

It is a city of the Aragua State here in my country Venezuela. It is located next to the Autopista Regional del Centro, which connects Caracas with Valencia and at a crossroads towards Colonia Tovar and the central plains. Its climate is cool compared to the plain where I am from.

Conocí parte del centro, específicamente la plaza “José Félix Ribas”, antigua plaza Mayor de La Victoria, que fue Mercado, Plaza de Toros y sitio de reuniones hasta que en 1.891 se colocó en su centro la estatua y se bautizó con el nombre del “Vencedor de los Tiranos en La Victoria”, llamada popularmente “La Estatua de Ribas” obra del Escultor Eloy Palacios.

I got to know part of the center, specifically the “José Félix Ribas” square, the former Plaza Mayor de La Victoria, which was a market, bullring and meeting place until 1891 when the statue was placed in its center and baptized with the name of the "Vector of the Tyrants in La Victoria", popularly called "The Statue of Ribas" work of the sculptor Eloy Palacios.

Además, está plaza tiene un curioso mito entre sus habitantes debido a su forma y diferentes caminos que dan hacia el centro dónde está ubicado el monumento, dicen que las parejas que van a la plaza de noche, tienen que amanecer allí debido a que no logran salir del lugar al anochecer porque suelen perderse intentado salir por los diferentes caminos.

In addition, this square has a curious myth among its inhabitants due to its shape and different paths that lead to the center where the monument is located, they say that couples who go to the square at night have to wake up there because they cannot leave the place at dusk because they tend to get lost trying to go out through the different paths.

Al frente de esta plaza está la iglesia Matriz que representa también un monumento nacional por ser el lugar de oración de José Félix Ribas y dónde el libertador Simón Bolívar fue bautizado.

En definitiva, es un maravilloso lugar.

In front of this square is the Matriz church, which is also a national monument for being the place of prayer for José Félix Ribas and where the liberator Simón Bolívar was baptized.

In short, it is a wonderful place.
