It was Christmas a few days ago and its probably the most anticipated event of year.
There's just so many reasons to be merry, maybe its the gifts, the lights, or the music. Dad is a bit agnostic, but he's the sucker for social events! Whenever there are parties in town, he'd bring us all in. These events always had a few drinks, here and there, and a lot of jokes and laughter. I mean, my dad likes beers and cocktails while catching up with friends, while we run around, exploring the venue.
One time, out of the blue, he brought us to Ormoc Villa Hotel for a little Christmas Party and a send-off party.
It was not that of a big place, but it occupies a whole block in the main city.
The huge entrance welcomes tourists and delegations with high ceilings and warm chandelier lights. A pianist and a singer serenades everyone through the latter part of the afternoon and the dusk. We didn't to book a room since the event is only hosted in the hotel garden for the day, though it would be cool to spend the night in the hotel and jump in hotel like monkeys until were all tired!
There were a few kids aside from us, and I didn't feel playing in the playground with the kids younger than me.
I did explore the whole area while the event haven't officially started yet. The playground was enough for kids with swings, monkey bars, seasaws, and slides. What I enjoyed was sightseeing in the swimming pool area, the fountain, and the gazebo at the end of the garden. I really wanted to swim, but I guess that wasn't part of the package, or we just didn't brought proper swimming attires.
I envy the kids who got to swim that evening.
The party started with a bit of introductions and messages from the emcee and the host, then the most awaited part of the event had everyone in cheers, it time for the dinner buffet. I love buffets, I love food!
I can be messy during meals and am never shy of going for the second batch. Well, with the selections of food to choose from, it would be a waste to not have it all.
After the dinner, there some other programs and games, my dad's peers surely did have some fun that night.
The event ended soon, but visited some other places before we traveled back to home.
I'll be sharing it next time.
