Went to the Next Municipality for Some Errands and It Was Nostalgic...

in GEMS5 hours ago

I was planning to open some classes this morning when my parents talked about going to the next municipality for some errands and to meet our relatives. That place is where we used to live when I was in high school, so I decided to tag along.

The place is around 30 minutes away by public transportation, which could be a multicab, bus, tricycle, or motorcycle. We took a tricycle down to the main road and took another one to our destination. I took several photos along the way, so let me share them below...

It's mostly the sea... the sunset around this area is beautiful! I also especially like the mangrove forest we see in some areas.

In the city where we live, there's a protected area for mangroves near the port. I just failed to take a photo at that time since I was on my way home from grocery shopping and didn't know the place. The tricycle we rode took a detour in that area. Maybe next time, I'll take photos from that area.

Anyway, let's go back to the rest of the photos...

It's the municipality's public market. It has improved a lot! It's much cleaner and more organized than before. We had to get some stuff there earlier today before heading home.

We walked this uphill road going to my grandma's place. She's my father's aunt, my grandma's older sister. We went there to inform our other relatives that we moved in the next city... and we also had to ask one of my uncles (my father's cousin) for some help with something...

This was the very road I had to walk going home when I was in high school. It's not that far, but the hill is quite steep, and it's a good exercise. hahaha

This cutie here is called Bubbles. It's my aunt's pet. :)

After spending about an hour or so catching up with some relatives, we headed down to run some errands at the market before heading home. However, I asked my father to drop by the church for a little bit... and so, we did!

They also renovated the church. It looks new and beautiful! They also have a pretty Christmas tree in front.

Beside the church is actually the high school I went to when we lived in this municipality, so I took some snaps of it as well.

Despite the changes in the place, it still feels pretty nostalgic. I've spent most of my high school days here, and I've created a bunch of memories in the place with my friends.

Some of my friends still live in the area, so I hope to meet up with them again someday. It would be awesome to catch up and reminisce about our craziness in the past. (hahaha)

Only one of my close friends knows that I'm back in the area for now... maybe once my family and I are settled down, and when the holiday season is done, we could make plans. We'll see...

Anyway, I'm glad to be back in the area! Thanks for reading! I'll end my post here for now. See you around! (^^,)/
