One event made me change my attitude towards what the powers that shouldn't be want me to focus on : I read a book by one of your compatriot, Judi Rever, titled "In praise of blood", talking about some conflict in Africa, sponsored by western governments and companies, that resulted in the killing of over 12 million civilians (and counting) over 20 years or so, to make space for the building of mines and the exploitation of minerals, with hardly any mention of the atrocities in Western media. This kind of manipulation disgusted me so much that I decided to take my attention away from anything that is preeminently marketed in main media like the current conflict in the Middle East.
