Hi, I am Svetlana. I heard this news about YouTube is gonna close in Russia. I was really disappointed with it, because I just started my channel on YouTube! I am getting many comments from you guys everyday, and it really warms up my heart so much, Thank you! For many people in Russia YouTube was the only happiness, I believe, and I am not an exception. What would you do in that kind of situation? Would my followers follow me on other platforms if I move there, as well as other Russian bloggers? I don't know. But still I hope for the better.
Hello. My name is Svetlana. Actually, if you are just new to my channel. And you like what I do,
please support me on my Patreon in this difficult time. Also, don't forget to check my previous videos,
there are so many interesting things i filmed for you.
When I heard this news, I was very sad and disappointed. I just started my channel, and now I learned that YouTube. Is gonna be closed. I wasn't even able to get subscribers yet, or many views. There are lucky people out there, who had started their channels earlier, and now their channels already built a community. I haven't got yet my community, even just month ago.
I didn't have comments on my channel yet. Now, i do get many comments every day, and it really warms up my heart so much, thanks to each and every one of you. Please welcome to write your comments, I really love to communicate with you! And just only i started to rejoice and feel that you like what i do, and, ta-da! YouTube is gonna be closed!
I think, in Russia, YouTube was the only happiness for many people and for me. For example, to learn languages there, or i have watched some knitting videos as it's my hobby. Or, as well, videos about travel. I don't have opportunity to travel a lot, as i cannot afford it. So i watched travel videos to explore the world, and places. I have never been to.
And, you know, before bloggers and people were never serious about it, they would never imagine, how can it be possible to block YouTube. Nothing like that could happen, right ?
And, finally, once upon a time. Instagram was blocked. They just turned it off and that's it.
And for some, Instagram was even more important than YouTube. Because Russians love to make photos.
Especially girls and women, who have been uploading their photos to Instagram, they were very sad, some of them even cried :( But, after, somehow people got used to it, even come kind of Instagram like services came out. So, they deal it with it. Maybe this time the same things will happen. People will be disappointed, and will cry. They'll realize that there is nothing to do about it, and get used to it.
Some will transfer to some YouTube like services.
In Russia, there is Rutube. But the problem is, on YouTube people had communities from different countries. And cultures. like, i found you, or you found me! But would you go on Rutube only, because of one blogger who is from Russia? i don't think all the people will be interested in that. Of course, if some blogger who has like 500k subscribers,
will say that he is gonna move to Rutube, I'm sure, his community will follow him as influencer. But blogger like me, who is not famous yet and has almost no subscribers, i don't think you would follow me, if i moved to Rutube. So, i don't know what will happen next. It's a crazy situation. I will leave a link to my Odysee channel,
please subscribe there, just in case. Anyway, I'm still here on YouTube, as long as it works.
But just in case, you can follow me on Odysee and Patreon. That's all for today. Please write in the comments what do you think about all this situation? What would you do is that happening to you? Now a little lyrical digression this is my new knitting eat a pull over
See you! Bye bye!
