According to my research the Atlantians lost the devine connection by time and joined the dark side. This resulted the war between
the Atlantians and the Olympians (Ellhnes) who were the forces of light. The Olympians win the war and Atlantis was destroyed by powerfull weapons of Olympians not by meteorite. The survivors of the Atlantians scattered to places like Egypt and mesopotamia (babylon) etc.
