To many, memes are "shitposts," one picture, effortless posts people post sometimes. To an extent that might be correct. But that's not always the case.

A good meme takes a lot of thinking to do, choosing a template, coming up with exact words that'll make it funny. You could say the same message in 5 different ways, but not all will make it funny. The choice or words, grammar etc is what makes a meme above the ordinary.

What are memes to me?

I am very sarcastic minded and I find memes the perfect way release some of that sarcasm with a touch of humor! I could also write s sarcastic post, of course! But with memes there's an added element of the reader being in sync with the mood of the post. For example, if I post a meme with joey from friends, you automatically read the message in the meme in Joey's voice which makes it even funnier to the reader instead of just reading the same message in the form of a text. That is where memes excel in delivering a message.

But Creating memes is an art and almost everyone enjoys memes. It gives people a good laugh. I understand the sentiment behind just a single or a couple of memes in a post doesn't make it worthy of a fat payout! But a meme doesn't just have to be a single picture shitpost. The author can add some backstory to the meme, maybe extrapolate on the message he is trying to send in the meme...the choices are endless.

And that is what I plan on bringing to the HIVE platform, A Different way to express my sarcasm and humor through memes! I want savagememes to become a brand here on HIVE and I need the communities' support. And by support I don't mean upvotes, (although that goes a long way to help lol) but I mean the community telling me what they enjoy about the memes I post, what they didn't like, what improvements are available, etc etc. Constructive Criticism is very, very welcome!

I will not be posting just memes in my posts, there will always be relevant text added to the post for the readers. My meme posts will not be what meme posts are typically labelled as low effort.

I know writing can be difficult sometimes, oh look at poor steemitblog! Already struggling on day 7 of their 100 day quest of writing everyday!

Well, that will not happen at @savagememes. I will put as much effort as is needed to make a post worth you time.

And i will definitely try to post more than one meme on the topic I'm addressing in every post, but this is not a promise. Because while I'm sure that this is what I'll do most of the time, it might not always be possible.
