Last day of the 2025.
Every year starts the same. New year, new ideas, new me. In my head, I have about 37 plans, and honestly… maybe half of them really happen. The year 2025 was no different. The only difference was that this year quickly showed who was in charge.
Spoiler: it was not me.
2025 was a year of trips, celebrations, loud music, exams, family moments, and one puppy who suddenly became the boss of our daily life. It was not perfect, but it was full of life.
🌸 SPRING: trips, big birthdays, and a hairy decision
Spring is always the time when I feel like everything will be easier. The sun comes out, the days get longer, and suddenly I have energy for everything. The first bigger trip was to Rogla.
The idea:
“Let’s go into nature.”
Reality: walking, more walking, and asking myself why I didn’t stay at home.
But Rogla was really beautiful. Fresh air, nature, and that nice feeling that you did something good for yourself (even if you later ate too much).
Spring was also full of big birthdays.
First, my aunt turned 40. A reminder that time goes fast.
Then my dad turned 50. That kind of birthday when you realize your parents are not young anymore, but they are still the ones who keep everything together.
Then came a night you cannot miss: a party in Ljubljana, hardbeat / hard techno. We went as a group: me, my boyfriend, my brother, my sister, a friend, and my cousin. It was loud, crazy, and full of energy. The next day, our legs clearly remembered the night.
We also stopped in Ptuj, a town where everything feels slow and calm.
And then came Ruby. Our puppy from foster care. A decision that changed everything. Suddenly life was no longer just
“let’s go wherever we want,”
but also
“has she been outside?”,
“what is in her mouth?”,
and
“why is it so quiet?”
With Ruby, our home became more alive. And much hairier.

And I also finished my first year, which I’m really proud of.
☀️ SUMMER: when we said “just around Slovenia” and ended up everywhere
Summer 2025 did not slow down. First we said:
“Let’s travel around Slovenia.”
Then we said:
“And maybe a bit abroad.”
We started at Lake Jasna, perfect for photos and thinking about life.
Then we went to Zelenci, where the water looks unreal. Portorož gave us the classic summer feeling sea, walks, ice cream.
And since we were already traveling… Italy. Why not?
Our main vacation was in Lido di Jesolo. Sea, sun, long days, and long evenings. No plans, no stress. The only real question was: beach first or ice cream first?
Of course, we visited Venice. Beautiful, crowded, hot, and a little chaotic. Still, it felt special. A city where you get lost and pretend you know where you are going.
Then came Budapest. And with it… a tattoo. It was not fully planned. Maybe a little spontaneous. But it has meaning. Every time I look at it, I remember that moment.
Summer was also about birthdays.
My boyfriend turned 29.
I turned 24.
An age when you are an adult, but still sometimes Google:
“how to get my life together.”
Lake Jasna and Ruby doesn’t like to be photographed🙈

My birthday🎉

🍂 AUTUMN: exams, stress, and brothers growing up
Autumn means reality. I was in my last year of school, which means stress, exams, and always saying, “I will study tomorrow.”
Even so, I passed two or three exams. Not perfect, but enough to feel proud.
There were also family milestones.
My youngest brother turned 18.
My other brother turned 20.
Clear proof that time moves very fast.
In autumn, we also visited a Hot Wheels meet in Šentilj. Adults seriously talking about small toy cars. And honestly, it was really fun.

❄️ WINTER: exams, endings, and success
Winter 2025 was not easy. But it was successful. I passed four exams. FOUR. A lot of coffee, little sleep, and many “just one more page.
” But I did it.”
We also celebrated my grandpa’s 70th birthday. A warm and emotional day that reminds you what matters most.
We ended the year with a Petrol celebration at Taverna Jeruzalem. Good food, good people, and a nice ending to a very full year.

✨ CONCLUSION: not perfect, but real
2025 taught me that you don’t need to control everything. The best moments are often unplanned. Trips, exams, parties, family, and dog hair all belong to the same story.
If I had to describe the year in one sentence, I would say:
It was not perfect. It was real. And it was mine. 🐾✨

We wish everyone a happy new year and many beautiful moments ahead.🥳
