Who is the master?
Who's the pawn?
Your destiny by whom is drawn?
Taking steps back is not an option
Your life you give to show devotion
You fall to keep the others standing
Nothing for you ever demanding
For life a pawn
But not your own
Who claims this game?
You never won
A game of chess your life's mess
You don't decide
You cannot hide
They rule you over
Turn you under
Your life won't be your own
No wonder
Why all this time you can't feel lost
Your only worry is your post
For ever soldier
The one to obey
Will ever come the time they pay?

Thank you @pandamama!! 🤗
I wish I understood chess to understand this. My eldest keeps saying that I should learn it.
But the words are familiar dwellings and feelings sometimes. The hard facts of how one shouldn't settle or lose hope. Thank you for the reminder ♡
The basic idea is that you're in a battlefield, two different kings (one black, one white),two different armies. The black pawn in the first pic is like a soldier. The soldier basically moves only forward and sacrifices itself to save the King, just like all the other pieces. But the soldier is the most expendable unit in the whole game as it has such a restricted range of moves in comparison with the rest of the pieces in the game and is harder to protect itself, moving accordingly to the orders it gets.
You should learn chess, it is tricky, it needs you to foresee the opponent's moves, it needs you to set strategies. I only know some basic moves, but it is a really exciting game when you get to learn how to play it. ❤
Interesting! Never have I ever had the interest but now it sounds more interesting. I have always known there are Kings and prawns but this is my first lesson ever on what they are all about. Thank you... Will definitely get a board when I can and start practicing.
The interest just spiked.
Hopefully everything is smooth on your end. Doing okay on this end. Much 🧡
