Hoy en este nuevo post les contare del suceso ocurrido en mi querido pueblo natal Socopó-Barinas-Venezuela del desbordamiento del Rio de Socopó el cual fue el día martes nueve de agosto del presente año aproximadamente desde las 11:00 pm donde empezó dicha tragedia.

Today in this new post I will tell you about the event that occurred in my beloved hometown of Socopó-Barinas-Venezuela of the overflow of the Socopó River, which took place on Tuesday, August 9 of this year, approximately at 11:00 pm, where said tragedy began.

No se los había podido comentar ya que no fui afectada físicamente; pero, emocionalmente sí. Porque vivimos varios días de tragedia por dicho desbordamiento del rio.

I had not been able to comment on them since I was not physically affected; but, emotionally yes. Because we lived through several days of tragedy due to the overflow of the river.

El cual muchas familias fueron afectadas, aproximadamente 50 familias perdieron sus casitas con todos sus enseres del hogar, quedando completamente sin nada. A Dios gracias afortunadamente no hubo pérdidas de vida de personas.

Which many families were affected, approximately 50 families lost their houses with all their household goods, leaving them completely without anything. Thank God fortunately there were no loss of life of people.

Por medio de esta situación las mayorías de las calles de nuestro pueblo fueron inundadas, porque hubo demasiado derramamiento de lodo y escombros que trajo el rio desde los alrededores de la población del Quino, ya que se desprendieron varios cerros de la población el Quino; igualmente, las comunidades: la Chigüira y San Rafael de Peñas Vivas fueron muy afectadas porque perdieron sus animales, sus rebaños, gallinas, pollos, vacas, toros, perros, gatos, patos, novillas; también, se quedaron incomunicados porque se cayeron los puentes que tienen acceso a esas comunidades; de igual forma, se cayó el tendido eléctrico de estas comunidades por tal motivo quedaron totalmente incomunicados.

Through this situation, the majority of the streets of our town were flooded, because there was too much spillage of mud and debris that the river brought from the surroundings of the Quino population, since several hills of the Quino population fell off; likewise, the communities: La Chigüira and San Rafael de Peñas Vivas were very affected because they lost their animals, their herds, hens, chickens, cows, bulls, dogs, cats, ducks, heifers; also, they were left incommunicado because the bridges that have access to those communities fell; In the same way, the electrical lines of these communities fell down for this reason they were totally cut off.

Ante esta situación; muchas comunidades y organizaciones de otros sectores han dado buenos aportes para aquellas personas que lo han perdido todo, en alimentación, comida, ropa, víveres, calzado, colchonetas entre otros, para los hermanos más damnificados de nuestro pueblo.

In this situation; many communities and organizations from other sectors have made good contributions to those people who have lost everything, in terms of food, food, clothing, supplies, footwear, mattresses, among others, for the most affected brothers and sisters of our people.

Se organizaron varios centros de acopio para recibir las donaciones, el principal fue coordinado por el párroco de la iglesia Cristo Rey. Dichas donaciones fueron distribuidas a los centros de albergues de los damnificados y algunas comunidades más afectadas.

Several collection centers were organized to receive the donations, the main one was coordinated by the pastor of the Cristo Rey church. These donations were distributed to the shelters of the victims and some of the most affected communities.
