Hace algún tiempo, me propuse a aprender un arte, algo diferente y no típico, que fuese divertido y a su vez que pudiese usar o vender. Me encanta usar camisetas, son cómodas, prácticas, combinan fácilmente con cualquier outfit, y son perfectas para cualquier día.

Con ayuda de mi mamá elaboramos varias franelas con la intención de venta al público. ¡Pero faltaba algo!. Fué ahí cuando decidí que, aquel arte al que le vería frutos y disfrutaría hacer, sería el bordado. ¡Si! Bordar cada una de las franelas que habíamos creado.

Some time ago, I set out to learn a craft, something different and not typical, that was fun and at the same time that I could use or sell. I love to wear t-shirts, they are comfortable, practical, combine easily with any outfit, and are perfect for any day.

With my mom's help, we made several t-shirts with the intention of selling them to the public, but something was missing! That's when I decided that the art that I would enjoy doing, would be embroidery. Yes! Embroidering each one of the flannels we had created.

No tenía ni la menor idea de cómo bordar, de que hilos o agujas se usaban, pero tenía la iniciativa y las ganas de aprender. Acudí a buscar por Internet todo aquello que no sabía del tema, que puntadas utilizar, que materiales necesitaría, y me alimente de vídeos y más vídeos en YouTube, hasta que llegó el día de comenzar.

Me sentí capaz, motivada. Busqué inspiración, quería bordar cosas que significaran, que fuesen especiales y únicas, allí fue donde nació mi primera franela bordada de Frida khalo.

Me parecía muy atractivo el arte minimalista, es por eso que trate de centrarme en ello. De esa manera, nacieron más diseños hermosos, los cuales vendí por una página que creé en Instagram.

Comenzaron a llegar pedidos, bordados diferentes a petición de cada una de mis clientes, y nunca decía que no. Fuese fácil o difícil lo tomaba como un reto y hacia lo mejor posible. Estos fueron algunos de mis bordados personalizados.

Así transcurrieron varios meses, de full trabajo y dedicación, de noches sin dormir entre mi mundo de maternidad y bordado. Diseñé cosas hermosas, pero quería aprender más. Con ayuda de mi mamá, pusimos mano a la obra a lo que fueron nuestros adornos navideños, que iban perfectos con la decoración de hogares, árboles y también funcionaban como un obsequio genial y único en época navideña.

With my mom's help, we got to work on our Christmas ornaments, which were perfect for decorating homes, trees and also worked as a great and unique gift at Christmas time.

Disfrute mucho de esta breve parte de mi vida, me brindó la oportunidad de crear, de aprender, de vender amor en cada cosa que hacía.

En algún tiempo, me encantaría retomar el arte y seguir creando en mi tiempo libre. Admiro a aquellas personas que viven de artesanías, manualidades. Las cosas hechas a mano ameritan mucho tiempo, esfuerzo y dedicación. Considero que el artesano entrega una parte de si mismo en cada pieza que realiza y es hermoso.
