Today I am gonna share a recipe of Indian Pasta which we call macaroni in our language.
Ingredients for Indian Pasta
- Macaroni - 1 Packet
- Onion - 2 chopped
- Tomato - 4
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp
- Butter - 1 tbsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - Half tbsp
- Red Chili Powder - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oregano - 1 tbsp
Method of making Indian Pasta
- Take a pan and pour 4 cups of water and boil it for 5 minutes.
- Add half tbsp of salt and 1 tbsp of vegetable oil, then add macroni to the pan and leave it for 10 minutes.
- Switch off the gas stove and strain the macroni by removing the water from it.
- Now it's time to take the another pan and add 2 tbs of vegetable oil.
- Now add cumin seeds and then Add grated onion and cook it until it changes its colour to brown.
- Add peeled tomato to the pan and cook it until it releases oil.
- Now add all the spices which I mentioned in the ingredients like salt, red chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
- Let all the spices roast for 30 seconds and then add boiled macroni to it and stir it firmly.
- Close the lid and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and Indian pasta is ready to serve.
In India macaroni is very famous as a tea time snack. Prepared within ten minutes of time. It is very light in terms food and tastes excellent. It is prepared with Suji( whole wheat flour extract), so very light on stomach.
It is a must try once.
