Pepper farming - Life made easy for traders in Akwa Ibom

I've been going through a lot and been busy trying to combine studies with work and have not really had time to enjoy with friends and family here on HIVE.

During my busy schedules, I ran into an old friend, Mr. Ray, who introduced me to his farm where he grows pepper, cucumber and local pumpkin for commercial purposes.

This farm is situated at Essien Udim Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria and has the capacity to produce about 10,000 bags of fresh pepper on a weekly basis for now.

My friend does not only grow pepper on this farm, but also grows cucumber and local pumpkin.

He shared with me photos of this magnificent farm via direct message on WhatsApp.

I asked my friend why he went into farming, having known that he studied Mechanical Engineering in Higher Institution and is a Mechanical Engineer by profession; He informed me that he has passion for farming and can't just help but to find himself in the farm.

He also said he is happy doing farming because farming makes him feel fulfilled and helps him meet people's needs and that he has been able to put food on people's table.

Through this farm, he has been able to employ most people who were jobless and roaming aimlessly on the streets and has also been able to cut down expenses for market traders who needed to travel to interior places in order to purchase bags of Pepper, Cucumbers or local pumpkin.

He assured me that I could be sharing updates about his farm to my friends and Family on Hive and that it was good to relieve burdens from people and put smiles on people's faces.

I hope to publish more updates concerning this Farm to our amazing HIVE family.
