Time is Ticking for Another 12 Hours to Go.

It feels so surreal that the day has finally come. It was supposed to be 30th March 2020, but because of the Covid-19 outbreak and Movement Control Order that shuts all operation procedures for more than 2 months, we were wondering will there be the day that comes.

There were days when I also cried in fear, when I wanted to run back to my own home, my familiar garden, and my old strength; I could still vividly remember when I told my daughter I just wanted to go home, she cried the whole night, and that broke my heart.

Now, with the hormone treatment and suddenly a call from the surgeon who attended to me, my daughter asked me, will I be able to walk through this.

To be honest, I can only confess - I don't know, but I will walk through the valley of Shadows and Death no matter what, but I will learn not to fear now with God's word close to me.

I was fiddling with my medication supply and trying to remember what to bring when my daughter took this picture, and as I lie down to sleep tonight, I won't be able to see my bed my daughter has purposefully prepared for Rene and I for maybe, another 2 weeks time.

I hope by the time I can see Rene again, everything will be well, and I am as good as new.

Rene gave us all a scare when her left eye suddenly was so red, and it got worse when the ophthalmologist poked a little too hard on her eye. Because of that, Rene can't keep me company as she wanted at the hospital as she had to rest as much as she can with a bit of runny nose after the chill at the hospital because of heavy rain in the morning.

My consolation part through this process, I know God is with me, and my grandkids sends their love signs to me that I wished I knew how to capture that moment down with Rene's phone; and my prayers answered - having the surgery done before Rene's cornea transplant.

2 more hurdles to go - COVID-19 test and General Anesthetics test; after that, I am good to go for my journey through the Operating room.

Appreciate for your thoughts and prayers for this old man, that I can come back to tell you all is well after my journey soon.

God bless you all

Philip

May the operation be a success and do rest well so it would be a quick recovery
