
This one sure liked to puff itself up!
Here's some photos of a Garter Snake in my hand, and in my pond. It was a rather defensive one, mostly because it was "in the blue," which means that it's eyes are glossed over and it is preparing to shed. At that point, it mostly sees shadows, so the world is a lot more intimidating to it. I just took some quick photos and let it go back in the pond. It may eat some little frogs or fish, but such is the food chain. Enjoy the photos.
