Sunday was Mother's day in the UK - and I checked to see that Cyprus celebrates this day on the second Sunday of every May - as does South Africa - so looks like I got an extra bonus - not for the first time I might add. When I was living in the UK I was also privileged to have 2 mothers days.
One very happy mother
Les made these wonderful chocolate fondant cakes - served with Ideal milk and garnished with strawberries
Jack, Les, myself, Lee and Katia
Here we all are on Jack's balcony before the lunch. Jack barbecued chicken for us and Les had a lovely Greek salad with feta and olives and sweet potato cooked on the barbecue - my favourite.
Jack cooked the chicken kebabs, drumsticks and wings on the barbecue for us
And here we are sitting down to the lunch
I told @samstonehill that I am grateful for my family. I truly am. So much that we have to be grateful for in these times. Miss my daughter and Tam. They organised a gift for me. So very thoughtful. So far away in South Africa - but near with modern technology - was able to thank them for the gift. There was a bottle of Baileys Cream Liquor from Eden and Tam - and some Kinder chocolates from Zara (Eden's cat that I am looking after)
A very special day - with a very special family.
