Hello friends, hope your day is great?
I am new on HIVE so this is my first post. I want to talk a little about pets around the world.
In China
China; when it comes to spending on domestic animals has really risen from $3.12 billion in the year 2010 to $25 billion in the year 2018. It is clear that the Chinese people own more than 51 million dogs and 41 million cats, it has even gotten to a stage where pet owners often prefer to source their pet food internationally. The total of 755 million pets, increased from 389 million in 2013.
In Italy
From research or survey done by Italian family associations in the year 2009, it was estimated that there are about 45 million pets in Italy alone. And this includes 7.5 million cats, 12 million birds, 7 million dogs, 16 million fish, and also 10 million snakes which is many snakes.
In the United Kingdom
In the year 2007, a survey was carried out by the University of Bristol. They found out that 26% of UK family-owned cats and also 31% owned dogs, evaluating a total domestic population which is about 10.3 million cats, and 10.5 million dogs in the year 2006. This survey also found out that 47.2% of families with a cat had at least a person who is educated to a degree level, matched with the 38.4% of homes with dogs.
In the United States
About 68% of the United State families, or we can say about 85 million families, own a pet, according to the research done in the years 2017-2018 by the National Pet Owners Survey. And it grew up from 56 percent in the year 1988, which was the first year the survey was carried out or conducted. There are about 86.4 million pet cats and 78.2 million pet dogs in the United States of America.
This is all for now have a wonderful day ahead
