Hola soy Mirleny Suarez y sí así es me entusiasman los nuevos proyectos, para mi significan nuevas oportunidades y nuevas experiencias, pienso que de eso se trata. Siento que al darme la oportunidad de vivir nuevas experiencias que me aporten cosas positivas, me abro al mundo de nuevos conocimientos que me ayudaran a crecer, evolucionar y no vivir estancada en una misma rutina, creo que debemos ser multifacéticos, atrevernos y reinventarnos día a día, con un propósito bien marcado, ser felices y hacer lo que nos guste.

Soy la menor de 3 hermanos, una hermana y un hermano, nací y he crecido en un pueblo hermoso llamado La Victoria en el estado Aragua de mi bella Venezuela, hija de Nelly, enfermera, una mujer luchadora y soñadora que siempre me ha demostrado que los sueños no deben quedarse en eso, que si pueden ser posibles, siempre y cuando trabajemos duro para hacerlos ¡realidad!, mi padre Francisco mecánico, hombre trabajador y de noble corazón aunque de difícil carácter (hoy nos acompaña desde otro plano) lo recordamos alegre, bochinchero, le encantaba contar chistes, también era muy dulcero, le encantaba comprar muchos dulces cuando íbamos a la panadería.

Guardo lindos recuerdos de mi infancia, cuando éramos niños mis padres se propusieron junto a nosotros recorrer Venezuela y conocerla completica, aunque no fue del todo así, fuimos a muchísimos lugares, conocimos desde “la Venezuela de antier” ubicada en el estado Mérida, es una bella ciudad recreada para conocer las costumbres y tradiciones de esa Venezuela antigua, hermosísimo todo, conocimos también algunos de sus picos más altos, el teleférico, la heladería de los mil sabores, alucinante, pero créanme con ese frio que teníamos en ese momento lo que menos teníamos cabeza era para un helado, habíamos salido de casa en ¡bermudas!, así le llamamos a los pantalones cortos, Normelys prima de mi mamá, que para mí es mi segunda madre, ella pensó en ponernos a los cuatro ropa cómoda porque sabía que era un largo viaje (y cuando digo cuatro es porque en ese entonces ella tiene a su primera hija Fabiola, que es mi hermanita menor, por el hecho de habernos criado juntas) pero no recordaban que al llegar a Mérida nos íbamos a congelar, la verdad que cada vez que vemos las fotos nos reímos muchísimo, porque por mas guantes, bufandas y abrigos que teníamos, el frío se colaba por las piernas, pero aun así disfrutamos muchísimo; también conocimos el relámpago del Catatumbo en el estado Zulia, los médanos de coro en Falcón, la cueva del guácharo en el estado Monagas no apto para claustrofóbicos, recuerdo que habían partes en esa cueva donde llegaba a pensar que no pasaríamos, eran pasos súper angostos y pequeños, una verdadera aventura, una maravilla natural que también valió la pena ir a conocerla, y muchos lugares más que recuerdo con cariño de mi infancia.

Desde muy pequeña muchos de mi familia veían en mí a una modelo o reina de belleza, porque era muy coqueta y me encantaban ver los concursos de belleza, no fue hasta que cumplí los 16 años que tuve la oportunidad de participar en un concurso llamado teen Venezuela tropical, represente el estado Mérida y aunque no gane, fue una hermosa oportunidad, cuando quedo seleccionada para participar y llego a casa con la buena noticia mi mamá no sabía si saltar de la alegría o ponerse las manos en la cabeza porque a mi papá nunca le gustaron esos concursos, él era muy conservador, lo cierto es que mi mamá y yo disfrutamos juntas esa experiencia y no está de más decir que fue muy bonita, ella me acompaño a todos los ensayos o prácticas para las presentaciones y siempre muy pendiente y al igual que yo muy entusiasmada.

Quiero contarles que si en algo me parezco desde pequeña a mi papá es en lo mucho que me encanta el dulce, amo los postres y no solo comerlos si no también prepararlos es mi pasión, soy odontóloga de profesión una carrera muy hermosa, pero indudablemente la repostería es mi fuerte, además de que disfruto mucho con las preparaciones, el escuchar o leer a mis clientes decirme “tus tortas tienen un no sé qué, que no sé” “yo nunca me como el fondant, pero hasta eso me lo como” “todos quedaron encantados…” eso no tiene precio para mí, es muy satisfactorio y grato, también he sido símbolo de inspiración para algunas de mis clientes para incursionar en el mundo de la pastelería, así me lo han hecho saber y eso me alaga e inspira cada día y también me motiva a compartir los conocimientos que obtenido a lo largo de estos 8 años que llevo ofreciendo mi arte al público.

La aventura de la repostería inició cuando estaba estudiando bachillerato, le lleve una porción de torta o pastel a mi prima de un cumpleaños que habíamos celebrado en casa el día anterior, ella no había podido asistir y como estábamos en la misma clase me llamó y me dijo recuerda llevarme torta mañana al colegio, justamente cuando se la estoy entregando otro compañero de clases se le antoja y mi prima comparte con él, queda maravillado y me pregunta “¿cuánto me cobras por hacerme una torta pequeña para mí? porque esta torta está ¡divina!” y yo por supuesto asombrada y a la vez muy alagada de su reacción al probar la torta que yo había preparado, nos pusimos de acuerdo de que se la llevaría para la próxima clase. Al día siguiente, le lleve una torta de vainilla como el me encargo, y eso genero revuelo en el salón de clases y uno que otro compañero le preguntaba quién estaba vendiendo tortas, y así pasaron los días y sin darme cuenta mis tortas eran la sensación del colegio, hasta las maestras me compraban tortas, las preferidas eran las de chocolate, la preferencia era tanta que ya no compraban en la cantina si no que preferían comprarme tortas a mí, un día me acerco a comprar algo a la cantina y la señora que allí trabajaba me pregunta “ ¿tú eres la que vendes tortas?” Y yo le contesto: “si sra. Carmen soy yo” a la que ella me responde: “pues le sugiero que deje de hacerlo porque no está permitido que usted venda nada aquí, para eso está la cantina, si no hablare seriamente con la directora” yo me voy muy preocupada por lo que me dijo, al día siguiente llevo más tortas y la primera que me recibe en el colegio es la directora y me dice: “Suarez tenemos que hablar…” ya a la hora de la salida también topo con la directora nuevamente y me llama en ese momento se me viene el recuerdo claro de la sra. Carmen al decirme que si no dejaba de llevar tortas hablaría con la directora, y pensé pues listo ya me regañaron… la directora se acerca y me dice “Suárez hija le iba a decir temprano y se me pasó por completo, ¿aún le queda una torta de chocolate ahí?” jajajajaja no sabía si reír del alivio o responderle a la directora.

Carmen it's me" to which she answers me: "well I suggest you stop doing it because you are not allowed to sell anything here, that's what the canteen is for, if not I will talk seriously with the director" I leave very worried about what she told me, the next day I bring more cakes and the first one who receives me at school is the director and tells me: "Suarez we have to talk ..." and at the time of departure I also run into the director again and she calls me at that moment I have a clear memory of Mrs. Carmen when she told me that if I didn't stop selling cakes I would have to go to the canteen to buy them. La verdad que lo recuerdo como una anécdota muy bonita, porque sentir que lo que preparaba gustaba mucho era una sensación única y especial porque me llenaba mucho. Anécdotas tengo muchas realmente y creo que haría un libro lleno de ellas, pero todas buenas porque hasta de lo malo se aprende, mi mano derecha, mi familia, en especial mi hermana en donde trabajamos juntas en este emprendimiento, también mi mama y esposo que me ayudan muchísimo. Por cierto, debo contarles que estoy enamorada de un hombre moreno de ojos claros que me robo el corazón hace ya 10 años, tenemos 5 años de casados y 2 hermosas princesas producto de nuestro amor, como toda relación con sus altas y bajas, él ha sido un gran apoyo para mí.

Me hablaron de Hive.blog y me pareció bastante interesante ya que lo vi como una ventana que se abre o más bien herramienta que puedo utilizar para compartir mi experiencia en la repostería, compartir recetas, tips y consejos que puedan ayudar a muchos a iniciar este emprendimiento, explicar el paso a paso sin guardarme nada, la idea es que podamos interactuar y compartir ideas, técnicas y novedades en la repostería, esperando que sea de gran apoyo y utilidad para todos.
