Love the image in the mirror

Hello hivers, it rained cat and dog in my city this afternoon, after the rain I had to go out so I wore a pair of jeans, a simple Polo and a sweat jacket on it, packed my short hair into a ponytail and put my slippers on. On my way out after I locked my door, I saw my reflection on the window, I walked back to take a glimpse of how I looked.

I didn't look like a model at the very least, my eyebrows weren't shaped and my hair was undone, there was no makeup on my face, it was just me. What I saw wasn't an ugly person either, I looked beautiful in my own natural skin, I have never been one to go out on makeup frequently but sometimes I felt low seeing girls with their highlighters glowing and mine was just natural but today I felt really beautiful.

When was the last time you removed all the artificials and looked at your natural self in the mirror amazed by how you looked? when was the last time you felt good about yourself without hair extensions, lash extensions and contour to make your nose so pointed? When did being painted up with beauty products become the norm? You have to paint your face to a party else you won't look good, who made these standards?

It's high time we stop seeing false as beautiful and start embracing our bodies, beauty can only be given the meaning we choose to give to it and your beauty isn't in being tall or short, light skinned or dark skinned, having big hips and butts and how much makeup you apply. Your beauty is in your heart, it is having the ability to look at yourself and feel confident in your own skin, loving the beautiful flawful image infront of you.

Try going infront of a mirror today, not to apply your powder or fix those lashes but to admire your natural skin, speak beauty, love and life into your image, your beauty isn't defined by how many beauty products you use, you are your own definition of beauty, feel good in just being you.
